Arthur blinked. "Help with... Help you with my dead lover?" Arthur gestured towards the room he was just in where he saw Alfred cleaning up the mess he made.

Gilbert sighed and looked away. "Arthur, please. I can't trigger any memories or feelings. He'll only show emotion if told to. He doesn't feel anything emotionally, and he hardly feels anything physically with all his technological updates. Arthur, I know you can help me with Alfred's emotions; both in showing and feeling."

The Brit gulped and looked over at the figure he wasn't used to seeing cleaning. "Can I... Think about it? Over night?"

"Of course. Take all the time you need." Gilbert visibly relaxed, his shoulders dropping. "I'm really glad he turned out the way he did, I just..." Gilbert looked over his shoulder. "I miss Alfred. That is my project with Alfred's face and voice. I miss that smile that was bigger than my own. He was always so loud and happy. I hope that I can get the old Alfred back."

Arthur nodded. "When I've thought about it... I'll tell you." He then hurriedly exited the lab.

Arthur stared out the window at the starry sky, curled up on the bed in his dorm connected to the rest of Head Quarters.

The dorms were similar to apartment, each having two or three rooms to support the Agent's families, with one full bathroom, kitchen, dining area, and living area. However, instead of front doors leading outside, their front doors lead to a large hallway which lead to the actual headquarters. Arthur's once-shared dorm had two rooms and was at the end of the hall. The door to his room was right beside the door to his dorm, so he easily heard the heavy boot-steps in the hallway.

The Brit sat up, furrowing his brows. He slid out of the bed, his pajama's consisting of one of Alfred's large shirts and Alfred's shorts. He opened his bedroom door, took two steps to his front door, then waited. The steps slowly stopped in front of Arthur's door.

"I know you are standing there, Agent Arthur Kirkland. I can see you with my thermal sensors."

Arthur gulped and unlocked his door. "What are you doing out here so late, Agent Jones? Shouldn't you be at the tech lab?"

Alfred blinked. "No. Dr. Beilshmidt said I am free to roam at night while everyone is asleep, which you should be doing right now."

"Do you not need to sleep?" Arthur opened the door further and leaned on the door frame.

The cyborg hummed in thought. "I do need to sleep, just not near as much as the average human. I only need five hours of sleep to function. Same with food and drink. I only need one meal a day, whereas human's need three."

The Englishman nodded. "Have you gotten your five hour sleep yet?"

Alfred shook his head. "No. I sleep when I return to the lab."

"Of course." Arthur took in a deep breath. He looked down. "Do you... Maybe want to come in? I could brew some tea or coffee, I know you like coffee, and-"

"You know I like coffee?" Alfred blinked again, his brows creasing in only the slightest.

Arthur froze up, then hunched over, his gaze flicking everywhere but Alfred. "Oh, uhm, well, yes, I do- I did- well you used to, I don't know if you still do- I'm sorry, I shouldn't have spoken-"

Alfred placed his hand on Arthur's shoulder to cut him off. "I momentarily forgot that we used to work together. Coffee sounds nice, thank you."

~

Arthur sat at the two-seated table, his cup of tea steaming in his hands as his eyes stayed focused on the man across the table. "I'm sorry if it doesn't suit your tastes. I haven't made it in quite a while."

"It is fine. I rather like it." Alfred complimented, setting the mug down. "It is better than what Dr. Beilshmidt makes."

A small blush rose to Arthur's cheeks and he fidgeted in his seat. "I-is that so?" Alfred nodded. "Well, if you'd like, I have a spare room. You don't have to go all the way back to the lab."

Alfred nodded. "That sounds nice. There's no actual beds in the lab. I don't remember what a real bed feels like."

The Brit smiled slightly and stood. "I'll show you to the room." Alfred nodded and took a large gulp of coffee before standing as well and following Arthur to the small hallway. "This is the spare, that's the bathroom, and this is my room, just incase you need me."

"Thank you," Alfred nodded and reached out to open the door.

Quickly, without thinking, Arthur lashed his hand out, grabbing Alfred's own hand. Alfred looked down, expressionless. Arthur cleared his throat, pulling his hand back. "Uhm, smile." Alfred blinked. Arthur twisted the hem of the shirt in his fingers as his bit down on his lip. "Y-you used t-to smile when you thanked people, and then you'd k-" Arthur slapped a hand over his mouth before he could speak more.

The cyborg tilted his head. He gently grabbed Arthur's hand and pulled it away from his face. This caused Arthur to look up at Alfred. Slowly, a smile grew on his lips, his hard expression softening. "Thank you, Agent Kirkland."

"Arthur," the Briton whispered, his fingers subconsciously curling over Alfred's hand. "Please, just Arthur."

Alfred nodded, the soft smile still curling his lips. "Thank you, Arthur."

"Oh mein gott, oh mein gott! Where is he!? Where the hell is Alfred!?" Gilbert fumbled throughout his lab, tossing open doors and flipping tables.

The pale brunette woman sighed, rolling her green eyes. "Settle down, Gil," she muttered, grabbing his arm and forcing him in a chair. "I'm sure Alfred is fine. He wouldn't leave the building unless told to, you know that." She knead her fingers into his shoulders and kissed his head.

Gilbert sighed, dropping his head. "I guess. Thanks, Liza."

Elizabeta smiled. "You know, the baby is due in only a week. I can't have you stressing out when the baby gets here."

The albino chuckled, spinning the chair around to face his wife. "The awesome me shouldn't be stressing out at all." He placed his hands on Elizabeta's swollen belly and kissed it. "I'm your awesome daddy, and you should knew it since I tell you every night. You're making me and your mommy wait, and that's totally unawesome if you. So, hurry up, but not too fast. Don't wanna hurt mommy!" Elizabeta laughed, her hands over both of his.

Then they both jumped as the doors to the lab opened and shut rather loudly. Gilbert looked around his wife who looked over her shoulder.

Arthur fidgeted nervously, Alfred standing right behind him. "I've decided that I'll help you."
