Mark's pov:
Who am I?I don't shout out like that. I may be changing somehow but there was a pain burning my heart. I don't understand this world, I can't remember anything, and I can't understand Seán.
He has mood swings. He can be sad then happy. Why was I assign to him if he was handling his health fine?
I decided to check on Seán to pass the time. Mothering... that's the way he sees my help as. The term annoyed me a little but I shrugged it off.
And then I found him in his room and remember why I was here.
He was startled when I rounded the corner. His back pressed against the side of the bed with a knife in hand. Blood stained his hands and the blade. His aura was dark gray and the color seem to fade in his eye's.
Seán kept his head down strands of green hair covered his face. He dropped the blade to the floor with a clang.
I took it the second it dropped. I was displeased with his actions. "Please stop." I was trying to turn his wrists to see how severe his injuries were.
I forced them to turn and only found minor slices. Yet they looked so raw, it was if he committed the horrid act with a ruler. Drops of blood peeked through the slits.
"Seán, get up."
He only mumbled and rose to his feet with his head tilted down not once looking me in the eye.
I took both his hands in my hand and lead him to the bathroom.
"This was so sudden Seán. Why would you hurt yourself?"
"I try to stay positive Mark. But something always brings me down. I lift myself back up but so many things crushed me. I've let many girl's come and go and the one I REALLY wanted to stay, left. Why was she taken away from me...?"The last sentence made his voice go.
Seán's head was still facing downwards but I could tell he was crying.
"That's not a good enough reason to hurt yourself like that. Don't fall apart Seán. You can't mourn over her gravestone till the day you die. She wouldn't wanna see you rotting away like this."
"It's not as easy at it seems Mark!"
"I had to get over a loss too. I had to say goodbye to ALL my family and friend's and the whole world. I've moved on because I can't be sad forever. Death comes for all of us we just have to know how to handle it and move on."
I begun to cleanse his cuts with rubbing acohol. He winced at the sudden pain. I gently wrapped his wrists in gauzes and released him.
"To become a guardian angel many tests must be tooken and many assignments are made. Not even a hundred of them exist and that's because we are the most spiritual, determined, open-minded, and wise one's to be worthy of taking care of a mortal. I was determined to make a soul happy and bright again. We can't help everyone because there is little of us but we do our best."
"And that means yes Seán. I WANT to help you."
"Thank you." Seán sighed a gave me a weak smile.
"And Mark?"
"Yes?"
"Call me Jack."
Jack...
Instead of me, he came in for a hug which I accepted. His head was buried in the crook of my neck and his arm's wrapped around my neck.
I held him back. He was so cold. I ran my hands up and down on his arm's to warm them.
I tried to pull away but he just tighten his grip.
"Don't go yet."
"I won't."
