Yesterday was Friday. So now it's Saturday. Yeeeees! Kelly wanted everyone to play a game of baseball outside. Sam made up an excuse to not play and Lila couldn't play because she'd broken her arm. I hated baseball so I told Kelly I'd come on with a cold.
Now then! I could finally sit down and watch a horror movie that I borrowed from the library, toy shop.
Lila decided she wanted to watch as well, so I reluctantly let her. Sam was also in the room and when he saw that I was watching a movie. He came and sat down next to me.The movie started with a little girl walking to her house and finding things missing. It was actually really creepy. I normally handle horror really well. But this time...
Sam however, wasn't handling at all well. He seemed to hate the movie. I wonder why he didn't just go up and do something else in his room. The movie was almost half way through. It was getting scarier and Lila crawled into my lap for reassurance. She hid her face in my breast while I hugged her tightly. Something about this Sam found interesting, because he was gazing at me and her and not the movie. When he saw me noticing his looks, he focused his eyes back on the screen. Just at that moment, the biggest jump fright jumped out as the girl went into the toy shop and found all of the things that were missing there. A clown. Sam screamed at the top of his voice and I jumped out of my skin. The music box in it was playing round and round the merry-go-round. The clowns face looked like it had been melted and the dark atmosphere and dusty old toy shop made it worse. Sam hugged me because of his shock and I hugged him back. You know. Like when you hug someone to 'shelter' yourself from whatever it is. That's what happened with us.
I told Lila to leave because I knew I shouldn't have let her watch it. The movie carried on getting worse and worse. Sam didn't let go of me. Eventually, I gave up on freaking myself out so I turned off the movie. I was still clutching Sam and he had his arms around me tightly.
There was a lovely feeling welling up inside me and I didn't want to let him go. But I had to in the end."Are you ok?" He asked looking deeply into my eyes.
"Yes," I said dazed. After that point, I knew that between us nothing would be the same again. And I think... I was falling in love with Sam!
