His eyes were filled with confusion and resemblance. Indeed, it is baby blue. And he is beautiful, too. I can compare him with Adonis. I stood up as I felt that the bell will ring any minute now. I didn't realize I was staring at him for so long. I fixed my bag and stormed out.
"In a hurry?" Jacob asked when he saw me. He was holding his books and his bag is in his left shoulder.
"What's the matter?"
"I need to go, Jacob." I grumbled. He looked behind me and knew what's happening. He let me passed, I unwillingly went to my gym class, there's no activities today, just further announcement about the lectures. When we were dismissed, I waited for Jacob and Renesmee in the cafeteria, I have my apple in my tray. Everyone who passed by our table stared at me. I didn't care, they also stare at Renesmee. Jacob and Renesmee placed their trays in our table, the three of us are the only ones who sits here. It's exclusive, the crowd says the perfect ones. I rolled my eyes for that thought. Jacob isn't perfect, he's a nasty dog who imprinted on my sister.
"Selene?" Renesmee called me. Her voice is filled with worry, she touched my cheeks and share me a thought. My face ealier, spaced out and panicky, with a sense of humor, too. Maybe because I thought of Jacob as a nasty dog.
"I have to admit, Alexander smells nice." Renesmee said while nodding. I creased my eyebrows.
"Who's Alexander?" I asked her suspiciously.
"It's the boy with the blue eyes, Selene." She smiled sweetly. Of course, he's Alexander. I just don't acknowledge his information for my being. I don't care about his existence.
"Jacob." Renesmee called the attention of Jacob who's eating his lunch disgustingly.
"Can I invite Alexander to join with us?" She asked with a smile. I froze with her question.
"No." I answered before Jacob could.
"You're not Jacob." Jacob grimacing.
"Of course, I am not a dog." I said.
"You can invite him. Tell him to sit beside our lovely Selene." I glared at Jacob and told him to finish his food. He just laughed and ate. Before I can tell Renesmee not to invite that Alexander, she was dragging him to our table.
"From now on, you'll sit beside my twin sister, okay?" Her welcoming smile made Alexander froze in his place.
"That's my girl, dude. Back off." Jacob warned Alexander who became afraid of him. Who wouldn't? He looks like a beast, he is a beast. I shook my head, imprint is to sacrosanct for werewolves. Alexander sat beside me. I had to endure his scent, I distract myself by focusing on murmurs and did not drew my attention to him. Renesmee did all the talking, asking him personal question. He was Alexander Carter, he just turned 17 and he was from Orlando. Alexander is too long and he preferred his nickname, Alex.
"Are you familiar with my twin sister?" I scoffed at her question. Of course, he should know me. I am the one who was starring at him earlier.
"Yeah, I know her. She gatecrashed at my brother's wedding." I pursed my lips when he answered. I didn't catch his smell on that boring wedding.
It was not a big deal, I got bored and went somewhere. I've heard about a small wedding near at La Push, I took my chance and snuck out. Good thing Jacob didn't mention it to Edward but I think he'll read it in Renesmee's thoughts later.
"And people say that she's one of the prettiest girl here in Forks." He just shrugged at that thought. Did he just rejected that fact? I became wary and looked at him with dreadful stares. Renesmee coughed to lighten the mood, I squashed the apple in the table. Walking out of the cafeteria made me calm.
Being vain is one of my problem; I inherited it from Rosalie, I'm used with compliments and praises like Rose, I'm not used of not being adored. Everyone in my life adored Renesmee and I. I bit my lip, He'll regret it— I swear and ditched my other classes. I went to Port Angeles to buy some new clothes to release my anger. I almost went to Seattle if I haven't thought of my parents worrying about me. I came home and parked my Porsche in the garage, along with Emmett's jeep.
"Where have you been, moon?" Emmett asked suspiciously, I raised the shopping bags to answer his question. I flitted to Alice's room; knowing that Rose is also there.
"Then Jasper jumped in front of— Oh, dear. What brings you here?" Alice asked which made Rosalie turned. She smiled at me with her arms wide open for a hug.
"Someone called me ugly." I murmured, it was loud enough for them to hear it. Well, technically he didn't call me ugly, but he didn't consider me as pretty. They enveloped me with a hug.
"Hush, my dear. No need to think about that girl." If it was a girl, I can slapped her to the point her jaw will be broken but he was not, he is a boy.
"Not a girl." I stated, they froze and gasped. Is it too much to handle? Yes, boys can be easily attracted with one's appearance. No boy has never neglected me except Jacob. Everyone adored me as I say.
"Is he blind or something?" Alice comforted me while she was brushing my hair with her cold hands.
"Something." I said as if I knew him completely. I stayed with them for hours until Edward called my name with anger and authority.
"You, Selene, on the dining room. Now." He gritted his teeth. I guess, he knew. I followed him downstairs and I saw everyone sitting around the dining table, except Alice and Rosalie. Renesmee was standing beside Jacob who's in his human phase. Bella's sitting beside Edward.
"Where did you go last Saturday afternoon?" Edward asked and he tapped the dining table to ease his temper. There's no point of lying, even if I wanted to.
"Don't you dare to lie, Selene." He warned, I sighed in defeat.
"I planned to ruin someone's wedding." I answered while I played with my cold fingers.
"You ruined it." Jacob emphasized the ruin word. I snarled at him, that's all I could do.
"Why are you here anyway? You're not a family." I said disgustingly as if he was a rotten flower in a beautiful garden.
"Selene." I calmed down when Carlisle called my name.
"Sorry." I murmured.
"How can you do that, Selene? Why do you have to ruin someone's wedding?" Esme asked me with concerned expression. I couldn't lie to her, either. It was an obtuse reason by true.
"I've listened to a song and got inspired." I shrugged as if it was not a big deal. Emmett laughed loudly that it could grumble the ground. Jasper laughed, too.
"Is it the one you've listening to since last week?" Emmett asked while laughing, I glared at him.
"Do not laugh!" I shouted, he didn't stop.
"Emmett, do not push her to her limits. You wouldn't want that." My father warned him and his eyes focused on me.
"You're grounded." He said which made my jaw dropped. But I realized something which made me laugh.
"How can you do that?" I asked him, with some respect. He is still my ever loving dad.
"Taking away your car, having Emmett guard you and not giving you things that you want." He simply stated as he count it with his fingers. Grimace is all that I could give him. As if Emmett is too strong and too clever to guard me.
"She underestimated you, Emmett." Edward smirked and crossed his arms in his chest.
"Did you?" Emmett's eyes became furious.
"I did. What will you do?" I laughed.
"Let me take care of this, Edward. This is going to be a fun bonding time between an uncle and a naughty niece." Emmett said and Edward agreed. Alice giggled, she saw my pathetic future with my grounded days with Emmett. If I'm a human, am I dead for the following days?
