14. Rehearsal

Carlisle talked to me when he went home, he did some actions and he talked to the parents of the girl. They asked for an apology; Carlisle gladly accepted it. The girl was punished by being suspended for a week or two. About the play, we only had 3 weeks to practice. Most of my time was consumed of that practice; I had to stay late in the auditorium, helping or fitting the outfits. The day after tomorrow is the play. Nicole dismissed us earlier. I took my trench coat and wore it. It's snowing and it didn't bother me because I'm hotter than a normal person. I was on my way to the parking lot when Alex blocked my way.
"Do you want to practice?" He asked, he always do. I sighed, I don't want to go to their house. I've been there for 3 times already and his brother is creeping me out. I had an idea and smiled at him.
"We'll practice but can we practice at our house?" I asked, he looked shocked.
"No one has ever seen your house." He said, obviously. I rolled my eyes.
"What's the big deal? Do you want to? Or not?" I asked him impatiently.
"I want to." He answered.
"Okay, then. Get in." I said and went to the driver's seat. He stood still, I started the ignition and beeped at him.
"Come on, Alex." He came back to his senses and hoped into the passenger's seat. I drove fast, he was handling his seatbelt tightly. I laughed and drove faster. We reached the porch, I unbuckled the seatbelt and went out, he did, too. He stared at the large house in front of him.
"You said house, not a mansion." He hissed. I laughed and look at him.
"Why so whiny?" I step into the door, rubbing my boots against the mat. I opened the door and my father was in front of me.
"Hi, Daddy." I smiled sweetly, he looked at me and Alex.
"This is Alex. The guy who will play Romeo." I said. Edward nodded and offer a handshake.
"I'm Edward, Selene's father. Nice to meet you." Alex consciously shook my father's hand.
"It's a pleasure to meet you, Sir." He said.
"Let's go inside." Alex and I walked inside, my father is ahead of us. We've reached the living room and Alex pursed his lips.
"Any problem?" I asked him as I removed my trench coat, he looked at me and whispered.
"Tell me, am I the ugliest person in this household right now?" I laughed at his remarks.
"No, you're not. Jake's here, so you're the second." I kid and shook my head.
"This is the most beautiful family I've ever seen." He said, I chuckled and looked at my family, they were secretly laughing. He had moved on with his insecurities and we started practicing our lines, Esme started watching us.
"O, here. Will I set up my everlasting rest,

From this world-wearied flesh. Eyes, look your last! Arms, take your last embrace! And, lips, O you. The doors of breath, seal with a righteous kiss. Here's to my love." I could see Edward is trying to recite the line, too. I smiled at my father.
"Thy drugs are quick. Thus with a kiss I die." He was about to kiss me, my eyes grew wider. My father coughed, so does Emmett. Alex realized and laid down in the sofa. I almost choke while I was mentally laughing in my mind.
"O comfortable friar! Where is my lord? I remember where I should be and there I am. Where is my romeo?" I looked around, acting as if I was on the play. I looked at Alex, who's watching me while laying on the floor.
"Hence, leave me friar. For I will not away. What's here? A cup closed in my true love's hand? A poison? I see, I am late for him. He's been in his timeless end. O, he drunk it all, no friendly sip for others. I will kiss thy lips, haply poison will flow to me. Thy lips are warm. I've heard someone, I should be fast. O, happy dagger. Romeo's dagger. O, let me die in my romeo's loving arms." I lay down beside him. He stared at me, I blink. Stuck in my place, his face went near.
"Marvelous!" I was alarmed when Emmett cheered. Everyone is smiling at us.
"Can't wait to watch you in the stage, dear." Rose said, I smiled. Jacob was glaring at Alex, I glared at him.
"For sure, Seth will be there to support you." Jake emphasized Seth's presence. I shook my head lightly.
"Who's Seth?" Alex asked me, I looked at him.
"Her real romeo." Jake interjected. I swear to Juliet's grave, I'm going to kill this wolf tonight. Alex's mood changed.
"It's getting late, I'll drive you home." I took my car keys and wore my coat.
"I'll drive him home." Jacob offered and took my car keys. I looked at him, confused. What is his problem? Nessie stood beside me.
"I think, he'll talk to Alex. He was swearing earlier, he stood as Seth today." Nessie clung to my arm.
"Your Jacob is weird." I rolled my eyes, she just giggled at me. Jacob and Alex went off. The mansion was back to normal.
"You're right, Sel. He smells nice." Bella commented.
"And, really good looking." My mom winked at me, my eyes grew wider.
"Bella." Edward warned my mother, she just laughed and hugged me.
"So proud of you." She smiled and let go of me. I was eating my sandwich when Jacob came back.
"Hey, bad boy." Nessie greeted her Jacob with a kiss in the cheek. I almost puked, makes me sick, always.
"Is he still alive? Cause if not, you'll be playing Romeo." I said.
"Ha ha, Sel." He rolled his eyes, I grinned sheepishly.
"I just make some clarifications for Seth." Jake sat beside me and Nessie sat in his lap.
"Being possessive, is it a wolf thing?" I teased him, he grinned.
"Actually, it's a boyfriend thing." He gave me a crooked smile. I rolled my eyes and took the last bite in my sandwich. I challenged Jake in a chess game, he bet that he'll win. We both sat in the mat, focusing on the game. I simply tried to interfere with his thoughts.
"Hey, not fair." He shook his head, trying to get me out of his head.
"What?" I asked while laughing at him. He glared at me.
"You're not being fair, fight fair." He warned me, I didn't bother to confuse him but I won, again. Always.
"How many do you have?" I lend my palm in front of him, he hissed and gave me ten dollars, Nessie laughed at her mate. Jake stood up.
"I need to go. It's getting late." Nessie frowned and hugged him.
"You need to rest, Nessie." Jacob just kissed Renesmee in the forehead.
"Good night, I'll see you tomorrow." He smiled at her, she nodded.
"I love you."
"I love you." They both smiled at each other.
"Go home." I coughed, Renesnee looked at me, as she laughed.
"Really, Selene?" She shook her head and started dragging me out of the house, I kept on laughing.
