Your Best Friend

It starts as a friendly hello

Before moving on to a cup of coffee

You become closer together

Before placing him in the 'friends' category

As you meet the supposed man of your dreams

Your friend is still always there for you

Even when your own man isn't

As the world as you know it

Begins to crumble around you

Falling atop your shoulders

Your friend holds you up

Not letting you fall with it

And slowly, oh so slowly

The thought pops into your head

That you've already fallen

Fallen for your best friend.
