ACT 09
Time Skip: one week
Hansuke's POV
These past few days, I noticed that Eiichi's been acting weird towards me. I mean, not weird like playfully weird or silly weird. It feels like something's bothering him. Sometimes he gets so jittery and sometimes awkward towards me. He may not say it, but I know there's something he's keeping from me.
"Eiichi-kun!" I waved and rushed to him. He was startled.
"H...hey! Hansuke!" He turned and went to me, still kinda jittery. "I never thought you were here..." He said, chuckling sheepishly.
"Uhm. What? Of course I'm outside of my classroom. So, wanna go home now or do you wanna go out somewhere else? I have homework, but I think I have some time to stroll yet." I said, checking my watch.
"Uh... Why won't we go home already? What do you think? Its still your call..." Eiichi said, trying to avert his gaze.
"Well, let's go and get some ice cream! My treat!" I said cheerfully, dragging him by the arm.
We went to an ice cream parlor. I got myself a grande scoop of sea salt caramel ice cream and I got Eiichi a grande scoop of mint chocolate chip ice cream. We grabbed a seat near the window while indulging the cold and sweet treats. Eiichi was unease. I got worried about it, so I went straightforward.
"Is there something that's bothering you?" I asked him with a straight face. "You seem uneasy every time I'm around."
"Huh? Me?" Eiichi gulped. "I... I'm not..."
I really get annoyed about his denials when its actually obvious.
"Come on. Tell me?" I said cunningly.
"What makes you think that I'm troubled? That's ludicrous!" Eiichi chuckled, scooping a mouthful amount of ice cream and showing it all into his mouth. "This is really good! Thanks for the treat!"
"Well, I just thought you were having some problems and I felt worried, since you are always jittery. You also seem distant these past few days." I said with a concerned look.
"Oh. Its nothing." Eiichi retorted. "Well, this ice cream is great! I never actually been on this place!" Eiichi said with a grin.
"Uh? Actually, its you who told me about this place, remember?" I said, feeling a bit annoyed of his actions.
"Oh? I... I did?" Eiichi's grin was shifted into a pout, tapping the table lightly while trying to avoid direct eye contact.
I was pissed so I decided not to try and continue the conversation. We just sat there, eating my ice cream, while he seem to just watch his ice cream melt, which made me even more annoyed. We allowed the awkward silence between us simmer for a couple of more minutes, until I was at my limit.
"I guess I should..."
As I turned to speak, someone called Eiichi.
"Where?... Okay. Okay then... Okay..."
Eiichi hung up. I was about to continue my statement, but Eiichi grabbed my arm and drag me out of the ice cream parlor, and and grabbed a taxi. Taken aback and offset, I chose to sit back, and chose not to talk to him. Although I'm very curious on where he's bringing me, I shunned him. He don't seem to mind either.
Eiichi's POV
Its obvious Hansuke is upset. Although I want to, there's still this mixed emotions bulging up within me. I'm excited, yet nervous at the same time. I'm happy, yet I am sad. Basically, I'm confused. We were caught up in some traffic, which made it more awkward. Hansuke is starting to be bored and irritated. But, stayed firm. I'll try doing it tonight. I have to.
