4. An Unexpected Turn of Events

Yuu's POV:

The classroom - 9:00am *screams*

I looked in horror as Mika sprinted towards our teacher and pinned her against the wall by her throat, a savage, bloodthirsty expression on his face. 'That idiot!' I thought to myself. I knew he didn't like drinking blood, mainly because I was the only person who could get him to do it, but I didn't think that he was stupid enough to stop drinking blood just because I wasn't there to supply him anymore. I mean it's not even like that was my fault, he's the one whose been avoiding me. I'd hoped he had enough common sense to go to one of the vampire's blood stores and get something for his thirst. Then again... This is Mika we're talking about here, he wouldn't hurt a fly. One day that attitude is going to get him killed, but not today... I won't let him get himself into trouble because of something like this, because of whatever stupid reason he's been avoiding me for. Definitely not after what we went through to be together again. Lesson time or not, it was time Mika and I had that talk!

"MIKA!" I shouted. The second I shouted it at him he turned his head and looked directly at me, his eyes were so cruel and it took me a second to notice, but for the first time in a long time, he was looking directly into mine. It was like he noticed this too at the same time I did, because that savage expression on his face instantly relaxed and began to look more sorrowful than anything else. He dropped our teacher back onto the ground without a second glance at her, then broke his eye contact with me and sprinted out of the room towards the roof. "Get back here!" I yelled, breaking into a run myself, he may have gotten away before, but there was only one way to the roof and no windows he could jump out of this time. 'Finally, we're going to get this sorted! One way, or another.'

Mika's POV:

The roof - 9:05am

"What the hell is wrong with me, I haven't felt thirsty at all and then suddenly, with no warning whatsoever, THAT happens?" I screamed at myself. Before I could even go over what happened and think about how I could resolve it, the door to the roof slammed open. It was Yuu! With the sight of him came a sudden realisation... The candles and rose petals. 'Oh no... he followed me up here after I went into a frenzy and now he sees this? Could this day get any worse? This is so embarrassing!' I thought. I had to say something. I had to try and explain the situation, but before I could even open my mouth, Yuu went frantic with questions.

"Mika? What the hell is going on? First you stop talking to me. Then you don't come to lessons. Then when you do come to a lesson you come in late with people you barely know. Now you attack our teacher? Have you even been drinking any blood since you drank mine two weeks ago? What's going on with y-are those rose petals and candles? Now I'm even more confused! Mika? Are you even going to say anything for yourself?" He demanded.

"I'm sorry Yuu." That was all I could manage before my eyes overflowed with tears. "I never meant to hurt anyone, I just..."

"Oh Mika, you really are an idiot." He said softly. "Although, you're the only idiot who can make me go from being in a blind rage with you to feeling guilty in an instant. You're the one who's been avoiding me, yet seeing you here now makes me feel like it's all my fault..."

"No Yuu, it's not..."

"Shut up Mika, let me finish. When I woke up this morning I felt so hurt, so angry" hearing him say these things made me cry even more, I didn't know he really cared about me this much, I thought he'd barely notice I wasn't around "but seeing you here like this Mika, it's made me realise that you must have had your reasons. I don't care what they are. I know you Mika, I know you wouldn't let yourself get so out of control that you would attack an innocent person, let alone our teacher. I know you wouldn't intentionally hurt my feelings. So I just want you to do one thing for me?" He pleaded.

"Anything Yuu" Of course I'd do anything for him, but I wasn't expecting what came next.
