The electronic buzz droned from the baby monitor, while the new parents snoozed in their beds. it had been a month since they brought (y/n) home and both were lacking sleep. Since Vince's boss noticed, he understood that Vince needed to stay home for a while to sort things out. Vincent layed cozily in his bed asleep until... "WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHH!" The sudden shriek of the baby woke Vincent with a jolt as he groggily grumbled to himself as he sat up in bed. he looked to his wife Mahogany who had woken from the noise as well. "your turn Hun." Mahogany yawned to her obviously sleepy mate. "Alright alright lets see what my little ass kicker wants." Vince grumbled as his wife chuckled an went back to sleep.
Vincent slowly opened the door to (y/n) 's room as (y/n) bawled, as soon as Vince got even close to the crib; the crying stopped. Vince smiled at the grumpy little eggplant. "So you woke me up because you wanted company eh?" (y/n) only responded with a gurgle and a sniffle. "alright, cm'ere ya' little shit." as he gently picked up the purple baby and sat down in the rocking chair. "so, " Vince began as he rocked the chair" You going back to sleep or do i have to make you?" (y/n) smiled and replied with a gurgle. " Okay then, Don't tell mommy i sang to you though." Vince whispered the last part. Vince looked up at the ceiling trying to remember the song he had sang to his wife on their wedding night, also the night (y/n) was conceived and he was drunk.
"Ah here we go, this is called i don't want to miss a thing. after that it's bed time got it?" he cooed. (y/n) looked up in confusion (of course that's what a baby would do.) Vincent closed his eyes and began to sing. "I could stay awake just to hear you breathing," Vincent began his tune. Meanwhile Mahogany softly smiled hearing Vince sing to his little one. and even chuckled when he finished with a dramatic yeah earning a small giggle from (y/n). Vincent looked back at the little baby seeing that she didn't fall asleep but was still awake and staring at him.
"okay that was a flop." Vince began as he got up. he was about to put her back in the crib when (y/n) started crying. "Hey hey hey. no more tears." he softly said to her as he wiped her tears away. (y/n) however was still looking at him with a trembling lip. "fine, you can sleep with me and mommy tonight." he slowly opened (y/n) 's door and carried her to where he slumbered. as he lay (y/n) on his chest his wife chuckled. "that was some good singing dear." Vince groaned and replied "you're not going to tell Mike and everybody else right?" Mahogany tapped her chin with thought. "maybe." was all the answer the walking eggplant got before placing (y/n) in between his wife and himself before falling asleep.

Vince woke to a small beep on Mahogany's phone. "you called them, really babe?" Mahogany giggled and nodded. Vince was about to say something only to immediately be hushed by his wife. "you don't want to wake the baby do you?" his wife asked slyly. Vince gave a perverted smile "tomorrow when she is not asleep though." Vince kissed his wife on the forehead and went back to sleep. preparing himself for all of the shit mike and everybody else was going to give him at work tomorrow.
