Who does Hunter like?

Isis's POV

"Why is your hair blue?" A guy asked me. He had a black Mohawk and a nose piercing. Creepy.

"Because my mom has blue hair. I was born that way." I said.

It's the weekend and I wanted to go shopping. Ray is sick and Katy and Tanner decided to go have lunch at some fancy restaurant in town so, I ended up going shopping with Hunter. Since I didn't want to go alone.

"I think your hair looks weird." The guy said.

"Really? Because your hair is even weirder!" I say.

"You trying to start a fight here. My hair ain't got no weird colors like yours does."

"Leave her alone she's stronger than she looks. And learn some proper grammar." Hunter said. Then he walked away. I followed not wanting to be left behind and the weird guy looked mad but stayed where he was.

Did Hunter just.... Defend me? Why? I know we're friends, but he knows I can handle myself so why did he even care? Is it possible that he likes me? No. Probably not. But what if he does? What do I think of that? Do I like Hunter!?

"So what is it you wanted to buy?" Hunter said. Breaking me from my thoughts.

"Oh. There's some really cute shoes I saw in a magazine that I can afford. So I wanted to get those."

"Okay. C'mon then the shoes are this way." Hunter said.

He grabbed my arm and led me over to the shoes. The whole time we were walking I swear my face was red as a tomato. He was so close to holding my hand. When we stopped walking in from of the shoes Hunter looked at me worried.

"Are you okay? Your face is all red."

"Um. Yeah, I'm fine it's nothing. Hey there's the shoes I wanted!" I said quickly.

I grabbed the shoes that were my size and then we walked silently back to the cash register. I bought the shoes an then we stepped outside.

I smiled as the first snow of the year slowly fell to the ground. The only time we got snow in the spirit world was when me or my dad used our ice magic to make snow in a small area. It's freezing cold out here but even so, I'm wearing a tank top and shorts. Ice wizards don't get cold. I could be lying in the snow naked for hours and not get cold. I would NEVER do that though. Gross.

When I turn my head I see Hunter wrapping his coat tighter around him as we start the walk back to campus.

"Isn't the snow beautiful?" I asked.

"Yeah. I can't believe Christmas break is in a month. I bet a lot of kids will go visit their families over the two weeks we have off." Hunter said.

"Will you leave? You and Rei I mean."

"I don't know yet. Why? Would you miss me?"

"I- of course. I mean I'd miss you and Rei both. You are my friends." I said. For a second Hunter looked disappointed with my answer. Like he wanted me to ask him not to go. The disappointment was gone in a second though, I might have even imagined it. Soon we were back at the school.

"Thanks for coming with me. I have to go see if Katy is back yet. Bye." I said. I ran off to my room before Hunter could say anything else.

Katy's POV

I was sitting on my bed reading a book when Isis came into the room.

"Hi. What did you buy? I wish I could've come but Tanner made me go to that restaurant and it wasn't even that good. So anyway, why's your face all red?" I asked.
