My name is Grey Owens. I'm fourteen years old, who can see things living people don't see. That is the dead. I can see ghosts, the dead people, and other things. Since I was four years old, my mom told me that I just got into a coma after seeing something I don't need to see. At school, they called me a freak. I was treated like a freak.

That's why I'm always quiet at school. I didn't know how to start being normal at school, as they treat me something I'm not. Good thing for me, I have one friend named Violet Baker. Her father knows mine and my mother and hers are best friends. That makes us close friends.

When I was walking home, kids in the school bus that passed by, threw a crumpled paper at me, with a rock inside. Then there was a letter.

Biggest freak at school. Congratulations!

That's what it says. I don't get angry. I pity them. Because once they die, they go to hell. I know they will. I can see it. I don't know if I'm a nice person or not. I continued walking home, while hiding my tears. People kept glancing at me. They think I'm a strange kid that came out of nowhere. That's a another why I don't go outside. I stay indoors, with my mom. I got home, and ran upstairs, to my room.

I closed the door, lied on the bed, and looked outside of the window beside my bed. Then I fell asleep. Everything went dark as black. All I could see was the light I was carrying. I walked straight, and saw a house. It was our house. I was outside. But there were no other houses, just ours. As I went nearer, someone was inside. I could see myself, reflecting from the window. Then it disappeared. I went inside the house, and took a walk around.

The basement door was open. I went downstairs. I saw a red door, with a big scratch on it. There was like a big creature that went in there. I turned around, declining to go in there. Then when I turned around, I saw the red door! I got inside the red door. I was inside. I was in the dark. I was scared. My heart was beating fast, my pulse was pounding quickly, and I was nervous. I felt something behind me. It was a tall man. He had no face. His face was covered by something---like a plastic. But I didn't see his eyes.

Everything went dark. My lamp disappeared from my hand. He took it. But there was a door. Like a hospital door. I went inside. Then I saw myself in the hospital bed. Mom and dad walked in, with a doctor.

"Please, doctor. Do anything. Just wake him up." Mom cried.

"I'm sorry, Mrs. Owens, but it's your son's choice. He is in coma. He controls himself. It's either he leaves or stay." The doctor explained.

The doctor left the room, and mom cried on dad's shoulder. I was in coma. That's why I'm in the dark. I need to wake myself up. How?

So, I went back in the dark. I walked around, until I saw my lamp, in the middle of nowhere. As my hand reached out for it, someone was standing in front of me. I looked up, seeing the tall man. He junped to my face, then I screamed. It echoed through the dark.

Then I woke up in the hospital. I was breathing deep. I saw my parents, walk towards me.

"Grey! Thank God you're alive!" Mom said, as they both hugged me.

As I got out of the hospital, I started having a normal life. I never saw those things that I kept seeing.

Years after, it came back. I was twenty one years old, and we celebrated my birthday.

I had a date, which was Violet. She became my girlfriend. We went out, to a restaurant at night. After eating, we drive to the city. But before that, you have to drive through the woods. So it was dark and scary.

Suddenly, a woman, wearing a black gown appeared in front of our car, and the car screeched, and accidentally hit a tree. We both got body damages. My eyes opened, and I was in the hospital. It was blurry. I didn't get to know the people. Then everything went dark, again.

But this time, I was in the woods. On the road, lying. I stood up, and saw a woman, wearing a black gown. She saw me, pointed at me, and screamed. Then I looked at my back, and saw the tall man! He was behind me! And beside him was a little girl. She was pale and bloody. Then I looked right back, and saw the woman, right at my face! I could see her eye to eye! A car's headlight distracted me, as it was heading towards me. Then I woke up. I was in a place, very beautiful, bright and peaceful. I was dead.
