Blessing on the Equinox

Bless the herbs and bless the rocks

Comes September cold and crisp

Autumn leaves, a frangrant wisp
Hail to thee, Oh son of light

Though ye wan some, all is right

Honor Mabon, our young son

Brilliant days are all but done

Cosmic balance does prevail

Transforming Elements without fail

Mind and body, soul and mood

Welcomes Change in Attitude

Abundent pumpkins, squash and wheat

Harvest Gathered and Complete

Store the Roots and Sprigs of Rue

Dry apples, Sage, and yarrow, too

Modron, Mother, lost her son

Tears of sorrow streak and run

She rebirths a divine boy

Solemn tragedy turns to joy

Winters coming, stock the larder

Preserve the fruit, Grind much harder

Assemble Wreaths with bittersweet

Rest ye weary bones and feet

Once again the veil is thin

Cross to and From and from within

Reincarnation is ever present

As soon as the moon becomes a crescent

Sacred Sun, passing through Earth's middle

Continues one of Life's Great Riddles

"Where is the seed of Wisdom Gained?"

Is it in the silence or in the sun waned?
