Kim Seokjin and Kim Namjoom had been together for years, dated two then moved in together for three, and married for four. Totaling up to nine years of love. Well, more like five years of love and four years of violent gestures and empty threats. Something changed in Namjoom after the two got married, and throughout their marriage Jin found himself becoming the object of his husbands rage.

Jin smiled as he set the plates on the table, having dinner ready for Namjoon when he returned from a long day at the studio. Hearing the front door click open, Jin stood, smiling even when Namjoon shrugged his coat off onto the floor and walked straight to the fridge. Jin walked to the kitchen, meekly telling Namjoon "I cooked dinner for you" the younger turned around, glaring as he took a sip of water "I'm not hungry." He shoved past Jin, straight to the bedroom and locked the door, leaving Jin alone as usual. Jin took his seat at the table, staring at the food he'd worked on for nearly two hours in hopes of brightening his husbands mood only to be shoved away. Jin sighed, no longer hungry, and began putting the food away mumbling "guess we'll have plenty of left overs.." And washing the few dirty dishes by hand. Once he was finished cleaning up, Jin headed to the bedroom to take a shower, knocking on the door. To his surprise the door was instantly jerked open to reveal an angry Namjoon "what do you want?" Jin blinked in surprise, mumbling "I wanted to take a shower..." Namjoon scoffed shoving Jin roughly "what's wrong with the guest bathroom shower? That ones not good enough for you is it princess?" Jin flinched at the now venom filled nickname, shaking his head "no it's not that.." Namjoon growled "then what is it princess?" He spat sarcastically, causing anger to rise in Jin's chest "maybe I wanted to take a shower with my husband. Just like how I wanted to have a decent meal with you!" Namjoom glared, grabbing Jin by the collar of his pink hoodie, lifting the older off of the ground "maybe I don't want to be near you, trash!"

Then he shoved Jin harshly, causing the older to stumble backwards, and tripping over the coffee table's edge. Jin's head hit the hardwood with a loud thud, and his vision blurred as he barely clung to his consciousness "N-namjoonie..." His eyes watered as the younger lifted him up by his collar again "don't talk to me anymore. I'm tired of you acting so innocent, I'll stop beating you when you realize what you did to me!" Jin's eyes widened in confusion, but before he could respond, Namjoon's fist connected with his cheek harshly. Jin choked back a sob at the pain, trying to keep his eyes open desperately as his husband beat him repeatedly yelling "what am I to you?! Some play thing?!!" Jin realized he was bleeding, when he saw the blood coating his husband's knuckles, and he let his eyes fall close for a moment. Namjoon released his collar letting him fall to the floor as he stomped away. Jin opened his eyes groggily, but the pain throbbing through his skull and cheeks was too much, and he soon passed out.

Jin awoke sometime later to the sound of a heart monitor beeping, and when he slowly opened his eyes, sterile white walls blinded him for a moment. Movement to his left caught his gaze and he looked on in confusion at Yoongi sitting at his bedside. Jin asked quietly "why are you here? Where am I?" Yoongi rolled his eyes, standing "I'm here because I found you beat to hell in your house after your neighbor Jimin called me crying. He said he heard yelling and furniture breaking. Said it was worse than usual." Jin sighed "he always sticks his nose in other people's business." Yoongi glared at the older "no. He's worried about you. We all are, I'm glad he called me otherwise Namjoon might've killed you." Jin paled at the comment, shaking his head "don't be silly, he'd never hurt me" Yoongi scowled, cursing under his breath "are you really that dumb? He smacked your head on the floor hard enough to make it bleed! Then he beat the shit out of your pretty face. You're lucky you aren't dead, or in a coma! Or have amnesia! Wake up damn it!" Jin looked away, fidgeting under his friends intense gaze as Yoongi continued "I don't know why you stay with him, do you want to die that badly?!" Jin finally looked up, glaring "I don't care. As long as I'm with Namjoon everything will be fine. He'd never hurt me, unless I deserved it." Yoongi sighed, shaking his head "you don't deserve anything he does to you. This is second time you've been admitted to the hospital this year Jin, what's your excuse this time since 'he'd never hurt you' last time he pushed you down a flight of stairs and you said you tripped!" Jin scoffed "I did trip! And he didn't shove me to the ground I tripped over the coffee table and hit my head.." Yoongi stared at the older, frowning "did the table punch you till you were black and blue to?" Then the shorter male turned on his heel to leave "live in denial all you want. But next time he puts you in the hospital, I'm putting him in his grave." He waved, and left, leaving Jin speechless.

Several hours later when he was released from the hospital and back at home, he sat down on the sofa awaiting Namjoon's return from work. He knew that every word Yoongi spoke was right, but he loved Namjoom too much to leave or turn on him. So he would stay, and take whatever beating his husband dished out, knowing that one day it would go too far. As the front door clicked open, Jin sucked in a sharp breath and looked over the couch to watch Namjoon "what you didn't cook anything to eat? Jeez what do you all day besides look pitiful?" Jin stood up, rushing to the kitchen to microwave some leftovers, but Namjoon pinned him against the counter "where'd the stupid bandage around your head come from?" Jin nervously swallows and stuttered "when I tripped over the coffee table last night, I hit my head." Namjoon rolled his eyes and walked over to the dinning table. Jin finished heating up the leftovers and placed a plate in front of his husband "here sorry I didn't cook." Namjoom was busy typing on his phone, ignoring Jin's apology and quickly eating his food without another word. When they both finished, Jin meekly asked "Namjoon? Can we talk for a minute?" The younger sighed, putting his phone down "talk about what?" Jin took a deep breath, finally confronting his husband "why do you hate me so much?" Namjoom blinked in surprise, leaning back in his seat "because you broke my heart." Jin raised an eyebrow "what are you talking about? When?" Namjoon rubbed his forehead "the day of our wedding. I saw you talking to that 'student' of yours Jungkook. I saw you kiss."

Jin gasped, realization hitting him "that wasn't what you thought. He kissed me and I pushed him away. But you didn't see that did you? Or bother to tell me after all these years?!" Namjoon stood up quickly, chair falling over "watch it. Don't try to act so innocent. No one likes a liar." Jin stood up as well, glaring "how dare you, I've been with you all of this time because I love you, why would I lie about Jungkook?! Maybe if you'd confronted me about it sooner I wouldn't have so many bruises!" Jin's anger boiled over, and without thinking it through, he slapped Namjoom with full force causing the younger to stumble back for a moment before anger consumed him. In a flash, Namjoon had pinned Jin to the wall, holding him up by his throat as he punched the older's stomach repeatedly. After several minutes, Namjoon let Jin crumple to the floor where he coughed up blood, eyes watering with tears as he struggled to breath. But none of his bodily functions seemed to be working, he couldn't breathe, blood oozed from his mouth and stared up at Namjoom until his vision went to black.
