This is it! The Teenagers and I are about to perform our final song of the night. I stand at the lead microphone, and I say "After all these songs we've sung tonight, we figured we'd finish tonight with a classic hit song. That hit song was made while Frankie was a part of the Teenagers, and that song is called "Why Do Fools Fall in Love!" Let's finish off the concert with this song, guys!"

" (Sherman)
Eh-dum, ah-ti-dum, ah-ti-dum, ah-duh-duh

(All)
Ooh-wah, ooh-wah
Ooh-wah, ooh-wah
Ooh-wah, ooh-wah
Why do fools fall in love

(Alyssa)
Why do birds sing so gay
And lovers await the break of day
Why do they fall in love

Why does the rain fall from up above
Why do fools fall in love
Why do they fall in love

Love is a losing game
And love can be a shame
I know of a fool, you see
For that fool is me
Tell me why, why, why, tell me why

Why do birds sing so gay
And lovers await the break of day
Why do they fall in love

Why does the rain fall from up above
Why do fools fall in love
Why do they fall in love

Why does my heart skip a crazy beat
For I know it will reach defeat
Tell me why, why, why, tell me why

Why do fools fall in love?"

The crowd gives us their appreciative applause once more. The other Teenagers and I walk up to the front of the stage, hold hands, and bow. I look out at the crowd once more and exclaim "Once again, thanks so much for being here! We're glad you could make it! Stay safe and have a good night, everyone!" Then, the Teenagers and I head backstage. Tonight was quite a night.

I stand in front of the mirror backstage, reflecting on tonight's concert. Joe looks at me and says "Tonight was the highlight of my career as a singer. We got to sing at the Apollo, and my best friends were onstage with me to experience it. This night will be a night that I remember for the rest of my life." "Agreed, Joe. Wouldn't you all say that we'll remember tonight for the rest of our lives?" Herman asks. Nodding, Jimmy replies, "Yes, indeed. I feel like I'm some sort of king, feeling so regal atop my throne of amazement. Tonight will be a night all of us can remember." Simply, Sherman and I nod. Sherman says "I know. We're all filled with so much wonder right now. The things I'll remember for the rest of my life are the day I met Alyssa, the time I proposed to her, our wedding day, tonight's performance at the Apollo, and of course, the day mine and Alyssa's twins are born." A happy tear makes its way down my face and I respond "I know. Like Herman says, we may be adults, but we will forever be teenagers at heart." Herman nods and says "Teenagers, always! Forever and always!" In unison, the other Teenagers and I say "Teenagers, always!" Those words have left a mark on my heart. That little phrase- "Teenagers, always"- means so damn much to me. Although we all may be adults, we will forever and always be teenagers at heart.
