Chapter Nine

"So what you gonna do? We'd all feel better if we knew the plan" Lori asks 

"Is there a plan?" Andrea asks

"We gonna keep him here?" Glenn also asks 

"We'll know soon enough" Rick says nodding his head over to Daryl who walks over 

"Boy, there's got a gang, 30 men. They have heavy artillery and they ain't looking to make friends. They roll through here, our boys are dead. And our women, they're gonna... They're gonna wish they were" Daryl says as Katie jogs over to him with Catherine trailing behind gasping for air when they finally come to a halt

"What did you do?" Carol asks looking at Daryl's knuckles "Had a little chat" Daryl responds not looking her in the eyes

"No one goes near this guy" Rick says as Lori walks over to him "Rick, what are you gonna do?" she whispers Rick sighs

"We have no choice. He's a threat. We have to eliminate the threat" Rick says Dale walks over to him "You're just gonna kill him?" He asks seemingly shocked at Rick's decision

"It's settled. I'll do it today" Rick says as he walks off, Dale chases after him.

"He can't be serious right? He seems like he doesn't want to do it" Katie says sitting down across from Carl, she picks up a stick at starts peeling away at the bark "He probably doesn't, but he has no choice" Catherine says sitting down next to Carl

"I'm sorry but it was probably Shane's idea" Katie says, Carl looks up "What makes you think that?" he asks Katie pauses for a moment realsing that she clearly forgot he was sat there, she sighs 

"I mean no offence Carl but Shane just doesn't seem stable..." she mumbles Carl stands up and starts walking away "Hey, Carl! Dude I'm sorry!" Katie yells Catherine laughs

"I'll go talk to him" Catherine stands up brushes dirt off of her legs before chasing after Carl.

"So he's a kid?" Carl asks Shane as he catches up to him "How old is he?" 

"He ain't a kid. Just... That's a figure of speech." Shane says Carl nods

"Can I see him?" Carl jogs a little as he falls behind Shane shakes his head

"No" he bluntly replies before sighing "Look, man, this is... This is grown-up stuff, all right?" they both stop "You just... you just let us handle this." Shane says before pointing behind Carl 

"Now go catch up to you lady friend, she's waiting for you" Carl turns seeing Catherine stood patiently waiting for Carl and Shane's conversation to end 

"She's not my lady friend, she just a friend" Carl nervously says before slowly walking over to Catherine

"Hi" she smiles "Katie didn't mean to say that especially in front of you" Carl shakes his head 

"Don't worry. Hey do you think you can help me get in there?" He points to the barn shed, Catherine laughs but soon stops when she realises he wasn't joking

"You can't be serious? Carl he is dangerous" Catherine shakes her head walking away "Wait!" Carl says grabbing her arm pulling her back 

"Please, I just want to see him" Catherine sighed knowing that he wouldn't stop begging

"Fine, but if we get caught just know I'm blaming your ass. And stay quiet" she say as she walk over to the back of the barn, she climbs onto some of the hay stacks and pulls herself onto a wooden plateform.

Turning back she looks at Carl who stood at the bottom still "Well? Come on" she whispered.

Both of them balanced their way in and sat down watching Randall listen to Shane and Andrea's coversation.
