i was woken to the soft feeling of a damp cloth sliding across my face, it was so gentle that i wasn't even sure if id just imagined it.

"are you awake?" a calm voice said softly, causing me to open my eyes.

beside me sat a very hansom man, his eyes were like emeralds, staring deeply into me blue orbs. his lips were plumped red, and his hair just flowed over his eyes.

" where am i?" i asked weakly.

"your still at the pack house," is watched as his eyes flashed black, then back to their normal colour.

"are you a vampire?" i don't know how i could be so calm about it. i was in a room with a freaking vampire! if he chose to he could simply kill me, no one would know, and no one would care.

it would be easy for him, no omen would be on his back either. bo one would suspect him of anything what so ever.

laughing he replied, "yes, Im a vampire. but no, i won't hurt you, i wouldn't dream of it."

did he just read my mind?

i thought it was just a legend, a myth that vampires could read minds, well that's what farther said.

i heard a hiss erupt from the vampire, his eyes flanking black again, " your farther was wrong. everything your farther ever told you was wrong. "

" my farther is good.... in his own way..." i mumbled, causing him to hiss again.

" Alexandria!" alpha voice howled through the room, calling from the other side of the door.

"yes, alpha?" the vampire, Alexandria, replied.

as alpha opened the door, i locked eyes with him, a look of pity covered his face.

" abbi," he said, giving me a brief nod before turning back to Alexandria, " her farther calls for her, she as to go-"

" please don't make me go back alpha! " i screamed, my eyes started to water at the thought of what he may do to me. i went to far lastnight... it may be that he might go as far as killing me.

" Im sorry, my dear, but you have to go home. your farther calls you, you must go to him."

"but-" i started.

"abbi!" he said, using his alpha tone on me, " you have to go, bit you won't be alone, Ali will be with you," he said, placing his hand on alex's shoulder. Alex was staring deeply at mw, which kinda creeped me out; but i didn't protest, it would be no use.

"okay, alpha."

"good girl, now Alex, have out got everything, because after you leave here, you are to stay by abbi's side. understood?"

" understood alpha." he said, nodding his head at him.

" if there trouble between you and abbi's dad, you are to leave immediately. understood?"

" understood."

"good, now i presume now that you are up abbi, it means that you are stable to move?"

i gave a nod.

" alright then, off you go..." he said, then walked away with out another word.

i bowe my head feeling tears exit my eyes,my mom was going to die, and there was nothing i could do about it... i was out of money. dad had spent it all on weed and alcohole.

"abbi," alex's said, before i felt a soft and lift my had up by my chin, " Im sorry. i promises you that i will not let your mom die, and ill do my best to stay as long as i can. ill keep you safe."

through tears i said, " why are you being so nice to me, what do you even care about my safety. your a vampire, you could just kill me, my mom and my dad in seconds, and no one would notice or care. why do you care?"

hurt flashed across his eyes, but he quickly maintained himself, " i care because..." i paused, thinking, debating what to say, " i cabernet because your a wonderfully beautiful girl, and you don't deserves the life you have, you deserves better."

i smile, then said, "we'd better get going, my dad don't like to be kept waiting..."
