It started With A Kiss

Oh Crap.....

    "Oh crap." I shouted as I nearly hit a car in the hectic school parking lot of Arbor High School.

    "Move out of my way!" Why did all the stupid Sophomores have to get their license? Now I have to leave my house twenty minuets early to get a decent parking spot. I'm already running late, and on top of that I have to park in the very back of the parking lot. Irritation ran through my blood like venom.  I rush out of my car in a panic trying to get to class on time.

    BOOM

    "Dude watch where you are going!" A frustrated voice huffed at me as I was speed walking down the halls.

    "Sorry, I actually have priorities to go to college and have a successful life, so I need to get to class!"

    "Why you little..."

    "Blah, blah, blah." Wow I really need to work on my attitude today. I could already tell I  need to let off steam. I couldn't wait till 5th period. 

    As I rushed into english right as the bell was ringing I took my normal spot by my best friends Alexi and Bridget. 

    "Glad you could make it!" Alexi snickered.

    "Oh shut up! You know I have to take Kate to school!" Kate is my little sister,  she has some weird chromosome issue, and she is the only one in the world with her disability! She is my pride  and joy! I love her to death and I would protect her with my life. Somedays are harder than others, and on of those days were today.

    As I went on through the day, it didn't get much better. Basketball sucked, no one was taking anything seriously and we have a big game on Friday (and it is already Wednesday). We had to run all period. By the time practice got done it was lunch. I planned on going home and taking a shower, that was until I bumped into Derek Parker.

    "Oh I'm so sorry."  Wow I really need to watch where I was going.

    "Oh no worries.... Hey you're really cute. I'm Derek, Derek Parker." 

    Wow he acts like we have never met. 

    "Um, I know who you are?" I gave him a "are you stupid look."

     "Wow, am I really THAT popular? They new hot chick already knows my name!" He had a cocky grin plaster on his perfect face.

    Okay I am really confused now. "What did you say, new girl?"

     "Please don't take offense to that. Oh I know! Let me take you out to lunch! It's on me!' He pleaded with begging eyes.

    As much as I wanted to tell him I wasn't new, that it was me, Bodie Smith, the girl you humiliated in the eighth grade. It was free lunch so I went along with it. What was the worst that could happen?
