So far, so good. Everything went well according to what we planned. Some of the investors already came in and the welcome entourage was a success.

It was already close to our lunch break when someone came inside the building. It was a middle aged woman who was very sophisticated. She was wearing her designer clothes and bag matching with killer heels. Who would've thought that even women in that age could still pull off that kind of shoes?

She looked at me and smiled, "Hi. Is my son busy as of the moment?"

I was surprised. Son? Did it mean.... she's the chairwoman of the company??? I bowed for respect and I heard her chuckle, "So, Miss...?"

"Haneul!" I answered immediately. She nodded and waited for my answer.

I looked at the time and it's only two minutes till lunch and I still have the chairwoman in front of me. I smiled apologetically, "I'm so sorry madam, I'm not Mr. Byun's secretary. But I can call her to ask if you don't mind?"

The woman nodded. I called Ms. Ahn and asked if the CEO's not busy. "CEO Byun is not busy, Haneul. He just finished a meeting for the finance team."

I nodded (even if she couldn't see me) and smiled, "Thank you, Ms. Ahn. The chairwoman wants to see Mr. Byun."

"Is that so? Tell her that she could go right now and please advise that she could use the CEO's private elevator."

"Okay." The lunch signal chimed in. "..have a great lunch!" I ended the call. I faced Mrs. Byun and smiled, "It's okay to go upstairs madam. You could use the CEO's elevator. Have a good day!"

The chairwoman nodded, "Thank you, Haneul-ssi. Have a good day to you as well. Enjoy your lunch."

As soon as the chairwoman left, I shut down the computer and placed my things neatly on my table. I left my post to go and get my bestfriend for lunch.

I looked for Jeongmin at her table outside. She was not there but her bag was sitting on top of her desk. I sighed and decided to just ask her boss.

I was about to knock when I saw the door was slightly opened. Maybe Mr. Do forgot about it? I decided to open it and pushed myself inside. Only to see.... my bestfriend sitting on his lap and kissing the male.

They seemed not to notice my prescence. I cleared my throat and both of them stopped eating each other's faces off. Mr. Do slightly pushed my bestfriend off him and looked at me with wide eyes. He was about to say something and I beat him at it.

"No worries, Mr. Do. I know your relationship with my bestfriend." I chuckled, placing my hand on my mouth. "I'm sorry if I didn't knock. The door was opened and I just decided to come in."

Mr. Do cleared his throat. "It's okay Haneul-ssi. It's my fault I left that door open."

I nodded, "So, would you mind if I borrow my bestfriend to eat real lunch with me?" I looked at Jeongmin and she was beet red. "I promise to return her to you later for dessert."

Mr. Do let out a nervous chuckle, "Go and have lunch with your friend....babe."

Jeongmin flushed a deeper red and pulled me outside with her.

BAEKHYUN

After my meeting with a lot of investors, another series of meeting followed. I just want to go home and rest but I still need to finish this meeting with the finance team.

"Make sure that the sales will increase this year." I started and faced my head finance, "I expect that the digits will triple and you will manage to lower the expenses, Mr. Do."

Mr. Do nodded, "Rest assured, Mr. Byun." He closed the presentation and began gathering his materials which he passed onto his secretary

I heard the lunch signal and raised my hand and stood to fix my jacket. "Meeting adjourned. Enjoy your lunch." I left the meeting room and went to my office.

I sat down on my chair and checked my laptop. I still have one last meeting with Kai for today and just some papers to sign. I leaned back and let out a tired sigh. "Should I just move my meeting with Suho tomorrow?"

Just in time, I heard the door opened and revealed my mother. I rubbed my eyes in tiredness and forced myself to greet her. "Hi mom. What brings your here?"

My mom chuckled, "Did you forget about it? I told you that I'll visit you today and talk about the condition right?"

Oh, that. I nodded, "Yes. Would you like to talk about it over lunch? I know a good restaurant."

I grabbed my keys and led my mom outside.

"So what is it that dad wanted from me?"

I started without preamble when our orders came in. My mother ate a piece of her meal before smiling at me, "It's just simple son. No need to be worried about it."

I rolled my eyes. This woman knows how to prolong a topic. "Just get to the point mom. I'm a busy man, I need to know what it is so I could work on it."

My mom nodded and sipped on her wine. "We need you to give us a grandchild—a heir next to you."

I almost choked on my meal and I wiped my mouth clean. "Are you serious mother? I just got the company and you're asking me for a grandchild?"

She scoffed at me. "Listen here, Baekhyun. You've been practically the CEO of that company even though your father didn't give you the whole company yet." She clasped her hands and looked at me seriously. "He would make you the chairman if you managed to produce a grandchild for us."

"A child? Seriously??" I massaged my temple to relieve the headache that I feel like coming through. "Why do you need a child? I don't even have a girlfriend!"

"We're getting old, Baekhyun. We need a grandchild from you. Besides, you don't need to marry." She grabbed her utensils and started eating again. "We don't care on how you're going to make that child. Play along if you want, we're not forcing you to tie down. Just give us a child from a decent woman."

After my lunch with my mother, I returned to my office and thought about the thing she told me. A child? I need to have my own child just to be a chairman?

I leaned back on my chair and closed my eyes. It's for myself right? For being the chairman of Byun Corporations and for the happiness of my parents.

I called for my secretary who just came back from lunch. "Ms. Ahn, I need you to make a public announcement."

"Yes, Mr. Byun. What is it?"

"I need a mother for my baby."
