Laurence's POV
"So, ever thought of having a boyfriend Aphmau?" Garroth asks. Aphmau looks surprised at Garroth.
"Wow, way to be forward." I laugh nervously. What if he gets her?
"At least, I'm not afraid." Garroth laughs.
"I'm not afraid." I'm not going to loose to Garroth. To an Irene damn Ro'maeve.
Aphmau looks at us with shock in her eyes but quickly fill with joy. Not the kind of joy I want, though. I can tell she's suppressing a laugh so she doesn't offend us. Garroth can tell too. She suddenly looks as though she can't contain herself.
Aphmau bursts out laughing and I can't help but think. Irene, she's beautiful even when laughing at us. "Sorry,"Aphmau says when she calms down, "I would but-"
"Hey Aphmau!" Someone interrupts. Aphmau squeals in shock and her face immediately turns bright red. "I wasn't expecting to see you here."
"H-Hey Katelyn." Katelyn...like the volleyball Katelyn? Maybe, I've never been to a volleyball game, but that's not the point. Even a blind person could see what's going on here.
"Hey Nerds! You messing with the Freshman?" Katelyn yells as she gets closer to Garroth and me. She brings Aphmau close and ruffles her hair playfully.
"N-No were not Katelyn." Garroth stutters. "So anyways, Aphmau I was going to ask you. Do you wan-"
"Garroth! Can we talk over there?" If I hadn't stopped him, that would have gone south. Fast.
"What? N-"
"Come with me, now!" I pull him away from the bench he's sitting at. "Are you stupid?" I ask when we're a safe distance away from the girls.
"I'm stupid? I was about to ask Aphmau out!" I don't think Garroth is joking. He's actually clueless.
"Are you blind? It's obvious she has a crush on Katelyn" I look over at the two. Aphmau is blushing even heaver than before and stuttering over every word. Katelyn laughs at somthing Aphmau has said and somehow, Aphmau blushes even more.
"Really?" Garroth questions.
"My Irene you're stupid"I groan. "We can't get between them, Katelyn will murdur us if we do."
"Ugh, I guess that's why she hasn't been blinded by our good looks."
