Lily was able to get off of the ground with the flight attendants help. She stopped crying when she say her kids sitting on the bench she had left them on before she found out that her mother had passed away. Lily was struggling with how she would tell her kids that their grandma had died.

Lily walked over to her kid who were patiently waiting on the bench for their mother to return. When Gray say their mother approaching he got up and ran to her and asked where's grandma Ira. Lily told Sue (the oldest) and Jane (Gray's twin sister) to come sit with her and Gray and told them Grandma Ira wasn't coming and she would tell them exactly what happened at home.

They arrived home after a twenty five minute commute from the airport. Shortly after they got home Lily's husband Vincent got home and she told him what had happened. They sat the kids down and told them that Ira had passed away peacefully in her sleep. The kids were saddened by the news but not heart broken because they never knew Ira.

Lily thought to herself about why her children never met their grandmother. He thought about being 23 and telling her mother about her engagement to Vincent and she didnt approve of her marrying a man of a different ethnic background. She was so disappointed and ashamed of Lily's choice that she didn't go to Lily's wedding or the birth of her own grandchildren. Lily thought about how excited she was to hear her mothers voice on the phone just a few weeks ago.

Sue, Jane, and Gray ate dinner in their room when Gray and Jane decided to break the silence with a question about grandma.
