Emery's POV

Finally. After all those heart wrenching hours of continuous crying and uncontrollable sobs my plane landed. I got my luggage and found a taxi.

Finally,time to go home.

Now you may be wondering where exactly this is right? Well I'm in Seattle.

What's so special about Seattle? Well this has always been my dream place to live in since I was little. I had planned to live here a while back so I already have a house bought here, but I met Kale. I completely dropped everything and forgot all my dreams once he stepped into my life.

There it is. My home. It was still the same as I left it. My dream house was a two story home with many glass walls and a balcony up on the second floor connected to the master bedroom which is my room. I mainly bought this house because of that balcony with it's view of the breath taking forest. I always imagined waking up early every morning enjoying the sunrise across the horizon with Kale hugging my waist and his chin resting on my shoulder. Sadly, Kale and I had to live where his pack was located which is this little town in the middle of no where.

I put my luggage by the door and walked up to my bedroom that has been untouched for years. I tore off the plastic wrap from my bed and fell face first onto my bed. I turned my stereo on lowly and the song Bruised and Scarred by Mayday Parade came on.

I guess it's time I tell you my story or how about I show you in a flash back instead.

*Flashback*

"KALE!SLOW DOWN!" I yelled to my unresponding mate.

We were heading to a forest miles away from the pack house. Kale's parents and a group of other older werewolves decided to have a vacation away from the pack for awhile but on their way they were atttacked by a group of rogues. I had salty rivers of tears streaming down my face...my parents were in that group of other werewolves.

Kale had refused to allow me to accompany him seeing as I'm currently pregnant with our first child. I had ignored his commands and made my way into his car I was going no matter what he said.

We were close...I could smell the stench of blood...a lot of blood. We drove through the trees like maniacs and than we reached a clearing with a horrific scene before us.

All the surrounding trees had blood splatters and the grass was a deep red throught the whole clearing. And there spread throught out the entire field was dead wolf bodies everywhere in sight. Those wolves who died with their eyes open stared out at you with no soul behimd them.

Than I saw them....Kale's parents and mine they were there on the ground the only ones living but I knew they wouldn't be breathing soon. I ran to them and dropped to my knees next to their still whimpering bodies. Within seconds Kale was by his parents bodies too.

"Mommy? Daddy? Please don't leave me!" I told my parents with a broken voice my heart wrenching and twisting at the sight of my bloodied parents.

"Come on mom dad you can get through this you guys are strong come on PLEASE!" I heard Kale plead with his parents.

"Oh sweetie don't worry about us just please take care of yourself alright?" my dad questions me trying to keep his voice sturdy. My body began to wrack with sobs.

"Oh honey don't cry just remember we both love you," my mother whispered to me since she didn't have the energy to speak normally.

"I love you guys both so much too, save me a place in heaven alright guys?" I asked trying but failing to smile through my tears.

They just smiled and nodded before each of their hands that I was holding went limp. I sat there with tears escaping my eyes and my sobs making my whole body shake.

Behind me I could hear Kale and his parents sharing their own farewell.

When I knew Kale's parents were gone too, we heard growls come from behind us.

"Emery get to the car NOW!" Kale commanded me.

I didn't want to leave but I knew that if I didn't he wouldn't stop worrying about me while fighting and could get hurt in the process. So I ran. I ran towards the car waiting to hear Kale coming with me.

Before I could reach the care a muddy brown wolf came at me from behind the car. He bit into my side and I cried out and the next thing I knew Kale appeared and the wolf was in shreds.

He carried me into the car and drove out of there like crazy before the rogues even had time to react. I passed out within minutes and welcomed the darkness with open arms.

I woke up to a bright light and quiet sobbing. I slowly opened my eyes and saw Kale sitting by my bed holding my hand while tears poured out of his eyes.

"Kale what happened?" I asked quietly.

He looked up at me with heart wrenching eyes and said words that took all the air from my lungs and made me choke on my own tears.

 "He's gone."

"NO!NO!NO NO NO NO NO no no no no!" I yelled getting quieter and quieter as I pounded my fists into Kale's chest. He grabbed my hands and looked at me with tear filled eyes.

He just held me in his arms and let me sob into his chest as I clutched my stomache.

'How can my son be gone?' was the thought that ran through my head the whole night.

When we arrived home I ran. I ran to his bedroom.

I carefully opened the door and saw the light blue walls.

I walked over to his crib and saw the little toys we ahd prepared and it was like a hammer to the already smashed pieces of my heart.

I grabbed the teddy bear that was supposed to be my little boy's and just hugged it to my chest. I couldn't breathe the pain was not just unbearable but it was becoming unimaginable.

I dropped to my knees and cradled the bear in my arms. I grabbed the first pair of clothes I would've changed him into when we got home. I grabbed the tiny hat he would've worn in the winter. I grabbed what would've been the first pair of booties he would've worn.

I heard soft crying at the doorway and saw Kale standing there. He came over and hugged me to him on the floor.

"How can he be gone? We never even got to hold him!" I said to Kale in a hushed voice.

"Fate is cruel that way," was his reply.

We just sat there in each other's arms and silently cried mourning our unborn son, mourning our parents, and mourning our broken hearts.

*End of Flashback*

Tragedy had struck our lives and will forever haunt us with it's painful, gut wrenching, and heart twisting memories.
