Jealousy is bad, Jaime Reyes.
I am not jealous, ese.
You are lying.
Shut up. I am not.
Okay, maybe he was jealous, but he couldn't help it. Bart had been ignoring him all week and hanging out with Gar instead.
Jaime didn't mind it at all. Jaime had even encouraged Bart hung out with someone else for a change. But the fact that Jaime's birthday was coming up and Bart had ignored all his texts, calls and avoided him in person. Jaime couldn't help but get upset.
Bart's laugh rang out from to the right of Jaime. Jaime quickly whipped around to see Bart texting someone on his phone.
"Hermano!" Jaime called and Bart's head snapped up.
"Oh... Hey Jaime." Bart said, unenthusiastically.
"You okay, ese?"
"Yeah... Yeah... Look, I've got to go." Bart said walking past Jaime. As he did do, Jaime grabbed his arm.
"Again?" Jaime looked at Bart with sad eyes. He caught an emotion flash across the speedsters face. Sorrow.
"Im sorry." Bart pulled his arm away and went back to texting, walking down the corridor towards his room in the mountain.
A few hours passed and Jaime had finished watching a film. Sighing, he got up and was about to head home when the zeta beam announced Gar's arrival.
"Oh, hey, Gar." Jaime narrowed his eyes at the smaller boy in front of him.
"I don't know anything!" Gar blurted out, shifting into his human form.
"What?" Jaime raised an eyebrow.
"I really cant talk to you."
"Huh?"
"I mean, I really can't talk to anyone." Gar awkwardly walked past Jaime. "I've got to go. I'm a busy, busy boy." Gar shifted into a leopard and sprinted out the room.
Jaime rolled his eyes and left the mountain.
-THE NEXT DAY-
Jaime groggily woke up to his phone playing the song, 'Stitches', that Bart had put as his ring tone.
"Hola?" Jaime rubbed his face in annoyance of being woken up early.
"Hello, her-man-oh!" Bart's cheery voice yelled down the phone.
Jaime remained silent. The boy, his boyfriend, who had been ignoring him for so long, had finally called him.
"Umm... You there?" Bart asked nervously.
"Yes." Jaime said annoyed. "What do you want?"
"Awh, you sound annoyed. What's up?"
"What's up? What's up? You've been ignoring me all week to hang out with Gar! I get if it was one day but a whole week?! What about your boyfriend?!"
"Jaime, are you jealous?"
"... No."
Bart chuckled. "Meet me at El Paso in ten."
"Wha-" Jaime began, but was cut off by Bart hanging up.
Jaime sighed and clambered out of his bed, putting on his blue beetle armour.
--------------
"Okay Bart, I'm here." Jaime called out upon arriving at El Paso.
"Hi!" Bart sped up to Jaime and hugged him. Jaime hugged back, reluctantly, still sore from being ignored.
"Now, I know you were jealous." Bart began, smirking at Jaime.
"I was not!" Jaime retorted.
Bart chuckling and pulled Jaime over to a giant boulder.
"Well. Gar told me how on birthdays you give people presents and I had no idea what to get you, so I asked him to help me." Bart said.
Jaime widened his eyes. This was why Bart was ignoring him. He was trying to be nice and all Jaime did was growl at him and curse him in his head. Jaime was about to apologise for being cranky, but was stopped by Bart extending his arms and yelling.
"Ta da!"
Jaime tilted his head in confusion and Bart jogged his head in the direction of the boulder he had dragged them to.
On the boulder was a painting of Jaime and Bart sitting on a grassy field with the night sky above them. It was like the night they had shared a few weeks back and Jaime had said he never wanted it to end.
Bart lowered his arms and scratched the back of his head.
"So erm, do you like it? Its okay if you don't, I mean I had Gar paint it and you know what he's like..."
Jaime cut the rambling boy off by kissing him.
"I-I take that as a yes?" Bart asked after pulling away.
"Sí." Jaime chuckled and kissed Bart again.

I'm surprised I actually finished this and made it longer than most of my others. I was unsure and was actually considering abandoning this, but nope, here it is!
