Once a girl as fair as snow
lived in happiness and glee.
A handsome prince to she betrothed;
Perfection all would see.
But one day, too far wandered.
Lost in fall of night.
And though she prayed; her true love scarce.
The pain snuffed out her light.
Come across a witch did she,
days after wandering hinder.
A promise she gave for her return
but the oath was good as cinder.
Her face was painted in ashen grey;
bloodied hair no saint could ignore.
But the poor girl paid a gainless price,
for her kingdom was no more.
Locked away from all seeing eyes,
She sooner welcomed death
than live this life full of loathing;
She offered her last breath.
But yet again, death evaded she;
slipped right through her fingers,
but put to work her soul instead
to gather souls that lingered.
I wrote this ages ago, but never got round to posting it. Better late than never, right?
^_^
This is another rhyme-y thingy I was wrote for a story I am writing but haven't yet posted.
