"Staaaaaaaarbuuuuucks..." Nom's eyes were huge, as if Starbucks was the most amazing place in the world. I rolled my eyes. "Just c'mon! I'm cold and I wanna get a coffee!" I said as I ran over to the doors and pushed them open, running inside and relaxing once I was hit by the warm air.

I took a deep breath, then sighed. "Ah, the smell of Starbucks in the morning..." I said happily.

Ally smiled. "The usual?" She asked. I smiled back and nodded. "You know it!" She ran off to the counter, and Nom looked at me.

"Master? Can I go with her?" I gave him a weird look. "Yeah, of course you can, why not?" He smiled.

"Thank you!" He said, and ran off. I walked over to Ally's and my normal spot. I sat down, looking out the window to my right. There were people walking by, all of them seeming in a rush. Well, all aside from the young girl who kept stopping to look at everything. I smiled as she stopped, attempting to pull away from her mother to run to a little shop known as Arthur's, a book store she probably wouldn't enjoy anyways. I looked back over at Ally, who was receiving our drinks, and Nom happily took his, immediately chugging it as he walked over.

"Geez Nom, calm down! You're gonna burn your tongue!" He stopped chugging and looked at me.

"No, I'm okay. It doesn't hurt at all. Hey, can we get some donuts after this?" He asked suddenly. I stared. "Um, we just got here." I said, and reached into my bag to get out my laptop. Nom watched for a moment, then drank another shot of coffee.

"Nom, you're going to be crazily energetic by the time you finish. For god's sake-" I took the coffee from him, and he quickly jumped forward. "No! My COFFEE!" He yelled, diving for it. I yelped, jumping back as he attacked me for it, then took it from me and began to chug it again. I didn't know that much coffee could fit in a cup that size. Or any sized cup for that matter. I shook my head.

"Anyways, I need to get to work. There's a three page essay in science due when we get back from break and I want to tackle that before anything else." I said, and Nom nodded. Ally saw the way I was staring at the cup that Nom was holding, and she leaned over to me.

"He's able to... Well, he can make anything last for pretty much eternity without seeming like it. New update so that you don't have to spend so much money on his food and stuff. ...But I doubt there'll ever be an update for his impulsive desire for donuts."

"I heard the word donuts!"

"I heard 'Kristy needs peace and quiet to work on her assignment'."

"I heard 'Kristy needs to be nicer to Nom'. Didn't you hear that too, buddy?" Ally asked, pretending to be innocent.

"I heard donuts!" Nom yelled out again. I sighed. this was going to be a long morning.

I closed my laptop, and it seemed to sigh in relief as well. "Remind me next year to be okay with getting bad grades. Because I can't continue doing this five hour homework session and don't even mention stretching out my homework all break long." I said.

"Master, next year you need to be okay with getting bad grades."

"Thanks Nom." I said sarcastically.

"...Did that make you mad? Are you annoyed with me? Was I not quiet enough? I'm sorry. We should get donuts to show that I'm sorry."

"How will that prove that you're sorry?" I asked. Ally shushed me, and I have her a look.

"It just will. Donuts are the solution to everything." Ally said, and Nom's face lit up.

"You agree with me! she agrees with me! Master, do you-" Nom started, but I cut him off.

"Know what? Sure. I totally agree with you, Nom." I said. He smiled.

"Yay!"

"Anyways, where do you want to go next, Ally?" I could practically hear Nom thinking 'donuts donuts donuts please donuts' as he waited for Ally's answer.

"I think we should get donuts for Nom next." Ally said. I sighed.

"Fine. Fine, we'll go get donuts."

"Yes!" Nom yelled, turning the heads of everyone in the area. He blushed and then said, in a much softer voice, "I agree."

"So the nearest place is Dunkin Donuts-"

"Which is about a mile. Great." I said. Ally piped up.

"We can drive! you have your license, right?"

"Well, yeah, but..." I trailed off. The last time I tried to drive I almost got Ally and I killed.

"You aren't still stuck on THAT are you? It wasn't even that bad! You only swerved a little!" Ally said.

"Why doesn't Nom drive?" I suggested quickly, not wanting to get into this with Ally.

"Oh, yeah! You got a car in the recent update, right?" Ally asked. Nom nodded.

"I can drive. ...That is, if Master wishes for it?"

"Yeah, yeah, I wish for it or whatever. Just- Nom drives." I said.

"Woah, woah, woah, I'm not going to go if Nom is driving!" Ally said, taking a step back as if to prove that she didn't want to come along.

"What's that supposed to mean!?" I said at the same time that Nom yelled, "Hey!"

"Okay, come here." Ally said, grabbing Nom's arm and pulling him to the side.

She whispered something in his ear, and Nom seemed to think for a second before whispering back. This continued for a few seconds until finally Ally turned to me and said, "Bye!" Before skittering off.

"Nom, what was that about?" I asked.

Nom smiled, and then said, "It's okay, Master. I'll drive!"

"Nom. What-" I began, but this time he cut me off.

"Come on, donuts!" He interrupted, grabbing my hand and pulling me along behind him.
