Isaac stepped off the camp bus with a confident smile, chewing on the same stick of gum he had put in his mouth when the bus took off earlier that day. He looked around at the familiar sounds, faces, and smells that was Camp Arawak, a camp he had been attending every summer for the past three years.

Taking a deep breath, Isaac slung his blue and red duffel bag over his shoulder, loving how heavy it felt, yet hating it all at once before walking around, looking for anyone he knew from summers ago.

"Isaac!" Isaac heard a familiar voice call. Isaac turned his head slightly to see a boy about his age with neck-length blonde hair and blue eyes running towards him with a big smile on his face.

"Zack!" he cried, giving his friend a high five when they met in the middle. "How's it goin?" Zack shrugged his shoulders. "Eh, it's been going alright I guess", he said boredly. "School was horrible as always." Isaac nodded. For example, hating school. Like most boys his age, Isaac would love nothing more than to sleep in class, not do his homework, and goof off when given the chance but since his father was a teacher himself, Isaac knew he would be dead if he even dared give his teacher once bit of trouble.

"Hey, look over there", Zack said with a laugh, bringing Isaac out of his thoughts. Isaac looked to where Zack was pointing to see a boy with dark brown hair matching his own, walking towards the dining hall with his yellow and black duffle bag slug over his shoulder. "Looks like I just found the new camp dweeb."

Isaac just frowned as he watched the boy struggle with his duffle bag, a part of him feeling sorry for him. 'Probably not used to how heavy these things can get'. Isaac thought to himself. He was about to go over and help the boy out when all of a sudden another familiar voice filled the camp.

"Good afternoon Campers!" came a female's voice over a megaphone. Everyone turned their attention towards her as she spoke. "For those of you new campers this year, my name is Carol Luck and I'm your camp counselor. Now we have a very big first day today so I'll need everyone's attention. I'm going to be assigning cabins..."
