Chapter 10

The song that Rosaline sings is above or to the side.

Rosaline sped down the

hallway's not being able to get away from the beast of a man fast enough. She felt as if she's been in that room with him for hour's and judging from the window she passed showing darkness trying to creep out into the sky, she probably was.

She picked up the speed not really knowing exactly where she's headed but as long as it's away from his office. The whole time he just worked on his paper's, never looking up except when someone would knock and enter to tell him something. She sat on her bottom making up thing's in her mind to keep herself from going crazy with boredom, and the fact she's in a closed room with him, like how fast she could count all of the freckles on her arms to if she can rap any random song that came to her head. She should be happy he didn't decide to take her back to his warped room to torture her or what he would like to call 'play'.

Somebody called her name as she slowed down to a jog but she was too far in her thought's to notice.

She couldn't get over how someone so handsome on the outside could be so vicious on the inside. The scar on her back burned from the memory of how it ended up there. A shiver went through her body as her mind played out all detail's from the night.

A hand grabbed onto her arm and she gasped. Slight pain shot through her arm from the person's grip that pulled her to a stop. She turned to see Antoinette, Rhyvos's fiancé, holding onto her and letting go when she had her attention. Rosaline looked down at her arm to make sure there was no bruising from the woman's hand before looking back to her.

"I'm sorry, hon. I tried calling for you but you seemed lost in your own thought's. I was just hoping that we could spend a little time to get to know each other since we will be spending quite a bit of time together. Especially after I marry Rhyvos and he mark's me."

Antoinette had a smile on her face that spoke of no harm towards her so she gave a small smile back.

"Okay, I guess. I was just..." She scratched her neck as she looked toward's the way her feet were leading to see the music room to the right. "going to the music room. But we can go and sit somewhere to talk if you'd like?"

The woman raised an eyebrow as her eyes moved from her to the door before smirking.

"Why don't we just go on inside and you can show me what it is you are good at and afterwards we can chat."

It was more of a statement then a question as Antoinette led them into the large room filled with all kinds of instrument's that Rosaline didn't even know half of. Antoinette walked over to a comfy looking bench and sat down delicately with her leg's crossed while Rose stood by the door looking more out of place than anything.
The woman raised her hand and gestured toward's the instrument's of her choosing and Rosaline bit her lip before nervously walking toward's the piano which was the only thing she knew how to play thank's to her father. She sat down at it and glanced over toward's the lady who gave her an encouraging smile.

"I don't think I'm as good as I could be. Especially since I haven't played in a while."
She told the her, trying to get out of playing for her.
