I feel sweat trickle it's way down my spine and drip from my palms. I don't hesitate to wipe the sweat away so I rub my hands across the surface of my jeans, but the gone sweat is instantly replaced by more. Haeley's gaze falls upon me, " Sure your not 'scared' Huntaah?" Her mischievous smile stretched across her face, " Born ready." I reply. Haeley pays the money to the cashier even though I offered to, and the person behind the desk hands us our harnesses and we are escorted away. Is she crazy or something! Who free-falls to their death hanging by and elastic cord that could SNAP!! What is wrong with her?!! As we make our way to the bungee platform, I begin to tremble with each step I take. I don't need to see Haeley's face to know that she's crazily smirking. Well I guess there's no turning back now. We step upon the platform and my heart starts to do backflips and my hound pounds, but Haeley.... Her eyes ignite with excitement and adrenaline, how is she so confident? Ok maybe there's time to go back but Haeley would never shut up about it. The instructor explains how we fit and adjust the harnesses as he tightens them. Before I know it I am standing at the edge of the bungee platform with Haeley next to me, sweat gaining on my hands and making my hair slick. "Ready then Hunt?" Haeley says as she snaps me from my gaze to the ground below, "Uhhh... Umm... Yea" I stutter. "Together. On 3?" I nod, "OK, 1, 2, 3!!!!" I force my self no to jump but her weight pulls me down with her. My eyes squeezed shut and all I can he is myself screaming, as the bungee cord stretches I cling myself to Haley's arm, grasping of dear life. I open my eyes for a brief second before we are flung back up into the air by the bungee cord. The air flowing around my body. I don't fear to let go of Haeley's arm, if she hadn't known about my fear before she surely did now. I her Haeley laughing as I cling to her, "Oh so Hunt is afraid of heights, why didn't you tell me?" I hate it when she smirks and pretends not to be sarcastic. "I am absolutely afraid right now and I'm not letting go. Don't judge my fear of heights Haeley! I didn't tell you because you always tend to pick on me. ALOT!!!" Is all I can manage to say before we bounce one last time on the bungee cord. It all comes to an end and Haeley pries my arms off of her, and the harnesses are undone. "Fun. Hey Hunt?" Really she's trying to be funny right now when I could've DIED!! Crazy I tell she's crazy. "If you don't count the part of us plummeting to our death then I guess.... I still disagree. That was certainly fudging terrifying." I try to say without my head exploding. She breaks out in hysterics and slows down as she takes bigger breathes. I turn around and she just keeps laughing, "What?!" I shriek, "One, you just shrieked like a girl and two, I can't believe your afraid of heights!" I ignore her and walk and when I say walk I mean like super fast speed walking, to the car, unlock it and jump into the drivers seat. Haeley (still laughing) in the passenger seat. I head down the road we came and begin to drive to Who-Knows-Where on another step of our so called 'journey'...
