A/N : Alright, this is just a disclaimer, guys. I'm positive that Riker would never act like he will in this story. So don't comment anything about how this is unrealistic or anything. I'm just being creative, and making a story. It's called fan fiction for a reason. Thanks! ;)
Chapter 17
Morning...
Riker POV
I woke up, and realized I was at the bottom of my sleeping bag, curled in a ball, pressed next to Jeff's body.
I crawled up a little so my head was out. Jeff was looking at me.
"Someone was scared last night," Jeff said.
"Stop teasing me!"
"It's what brothers are for, Riker. And I thought you'd be used to it."
"Well I'm not, so stop!"
"Ok, ok... Chill."
I turned away from him, annoyed. I watched as he walked up the stairs. I didn't want to be down here alone, so I walked upstairs too. He was sitting in a chair in the living room, eating a granola bar. I sat on the opposite side of the room, staring at the floor.
The rest of my siblings came downstairs a little while later. And they all went to sit near Jeff, leaving me alone in the corner of the room.
I got up, and walked out the front door, slamming it behind me. My mom came out a few seconds later.
"Riker Anthony Lynch, we do not slam doors! Especially doors that don't belong to us!"
I sat down on the side of the porch, frustrated.
"Riker."
"Leave me alone."
"What's gotten into you lately?"
"What do you mean?"
"The outburst in the car, pushing Jeff the other night, and now door slamming. This isn't the Riker I know."
"Well it's the Riker I am, so get used to it."
"It better not be the Riker you are. Otherwise, you're going to be in big trouble."
"I just don't get it!"
"What don't you get?"
"What's so great about Jeff!? Everyone loves him! And they're ignoring me. We're practically the same person! I don't get it."
"It sounds like you're jealous."
"Is that why I feel so sucky?"
"Probably. Why don't you go talk to him about how you feel?"
"That's stupid. Guys aren't supposed to have feelings."
"That's where you're wrong, Riker."
"What do you mean?"
"It's perfectly normal to have feelings, and to want to express them. Go talk to Jeff and your siblings about how you're feeling."
"I don't want to."
"Fine. Then continue feeling this way. I can't help you if you won't take my advice."
My mom went back inside, and I stayed on the porch step.
Later...
Riker POV
We were all having lunch right now. Jeff picked up the salt shaker, put some salt in his hand, and then threw it at me.
