Lord Eamonn Richardson knocked thrice.
"M'Lady, this is a disaster".
"What is?".
"The marriage. Lord Forbes is bankrupt".
"Bankrupt".
"Aye. He was involved in a gold rush in Scotland. But it was fools' gold".
"And he isn't rich?".
"He won cases as a Lawyer...true...But he is not worthy of marriage to you!".
"And you are?".
"Aye, I feel is my duty to rip this marriage certificate up...".
He kissed her.

"M'Lady. it is my honor...My blood...My life...to marry the right Lady. And you're so beautiful; so desirous; so virtuous...that such boldness on my part shall not be tainted with scandal".

And Lord Thornton Forbes grabbed a dagger.
