Charlotte hooks her arm around my neck and tugs me to her side. I rest my head on her shoulder as we walk down the pathway. It's only our third shop and exhaustion is beginning to dawn on me. The worst thing is that it's still morning. What happened to time flying when you're busy?

"Don't freak out because shopping for a wedding dress takes time! We'll find the perfect dress soon enough, we just need to explore our options and see what's out there." She squeezes me against her side and smiles.

"I've tried on ten dresses and none of them were what I wanted. I'm beginning to think the perfect dress doesn't exist or is located within this state."

"Chin up and shoulders back! We'll find the perfect dress, you just need to remain hopeful."

"Fine, okay, I'll do it. I mean, what other choice do I have?" I sigh.

"Now that's the right attitude to have." Charlotte giggles.

"And this is only our third shop, you're not going to find the perfect dress right away." Nora jabs her pointy finger into my side. I leap across and wrap my arms around her shoulders which makes us stumble down the pathway.

"Don't be mean, it's hard work trying on these dresses. That last lady kept following me into the changeroom and staring me down. It was super creepy, I couldn't leave fast enough."

"Yeah, she did sendsome chills down my spine." Nora nods.

"I'm sure we'll have better luck in this shop." Mum yanks the door open and points inside.

"Can't we give up for the day?" I sigh.

My gaze wanders over the bridal dresses in the window which look no different to the last two shops.

"One more shop and we'll grab lunch." Mum smiles.

"I can work with this." I nod.

We pile into the shop and I briskly walk around the medium sized space before making a dash to the exit.

"Ava Greyson, where do you think you're going?" Mum taps her foot on the ground.

"One day, you're gonna have to call me Ava Rivers," I comment.

"Until then, march your butt back here and look through those dresses! You need to look through the dresses and try a few on before we leave."

"What about food, can't we come back after?" My stomach begins to rumble.

"Please give this shop a try, then we can unwind and go home."

"Three dresses, then I'm bolting out of here." I sigh with defeat.

"Let's make this quick, I'm getting hungry too." Mum laughs.

I stand in front of the first rack of dresses and flick through them. The metal coat hangers grind against the hanging pole which makes me cringe.
