Forget the love (FairyTail Fanfiction •Gruvia•)

One more try

I will try once more. Approach him. But, if he rejects me once more........ I-- Juvia will finally halt her actions of love for Gray-sama....

"Gray-sama~!" Juvia greeted as soon as she entered the guild. "Juvia has brought you cookies made by Juvia!" She said with confidence.

"Oh wow really?" Gray turned "thanks---- woah...." He slowly backed away his hand before even getting one. He was surprised to see cookies of his face.

"Nevermind, don't feel like eatin' right now, ya know." He awkwardly smiles and walks away. Juvia was left there standing.

The joyous smile that she has put on slowly went down along with the box of cookies. She slowly lowered it. Her head was down and she didn't move at all from where she stood. Lucy saw this and was worried so she came beside Juvia.

"Juvia? You okay?" Lucy asked as she noticed the box of Gray cookies and tears dropping in it. "Oi! Juvia!" Lucy panicked. 'Juvia may have cried out of jealousy but not like this....' Lucy thought.

Lucy bended down to see Juvia face and she saw a smile crept upon Juvia's face as the tears continued to fall. "Juvia is....... Alright." Juvia said.

Juvia walked out until the doors of the guild, Lucy followed her with her eyes. Juvia suddenly slammed the doors wide open with her water magic. She threw the cookies away from the guild, up into the air and she used her magic to destroy it, leaving no bits of pieces to the ground.

Everyone in the guild were surprised, shocked and confused. Juvia turned to everyone and gave a smile but the stains from her tears were visible to see. "Juvia shall go on a journey alone." She announced suddenly.

You could hear the gasps of each member but Gray stood there with his mouth hanging open. Lucy was the first to act and question her suddenness.

"Why? Why do you need to go? Where will you go?" Lucy asked as she held Juvia's biceps moderately tight. "Do you really have to?" She asked lastly. Juvia saw her sadden face and even though she's a love rival, she's also a friend. A nakama.

Juvia gave a small smile and enveloped Lucy into a tight embrace. She then whispers to Lucy's ear, "Juvia said she will try once more and if Gray-sa---" she paused, "If Gray-san rejects for who Juvia is.... She will give up on love."

Lucy began to cry and Juvia slowly released the hug. "Juvia thanks you for being a love rival even though you never actually love him..." She smiled.

Juvia turned her back and walked away. Lucy watched her walk farther and farther away from her guild, from her home until she was out of sight. When Juvia can no longer be seen, the doors were closed, everyone began to murmur at one another while Lucy still stood alone.

She turned and dragged her feet towards Gray. "Oi, Lucy, are you alri---?!" His head was now faced to the side and felt pain rushing to his cheek. He glanced to Lucy and saw her tearful face. Full of Anger and Sadness.

"You ignorant fool!" She screamed at him and left followed by Levy, Erza and Lisanna who were worried.

Gajeel, Elfman and Mystogan (who appeared out of nowhere) were behind the unmoving ice mage and just sighed in worry. Rain suddenly began to pour down heavily along with the thunder roaring. They knew Juvia was in deep sadness and despair but Gray did nothing and walked out with anger.

Juvia turned to her back to see that the guild was out of sight, she hoped at least a bit that maybe Gray would come chasing after her but no one came. She looked above and noticed the rain pouring. She knew it was her heart. "Drip...... Drip.... Drop..." She uttered quietly. She stood there alone the wet pavement and let herself get soaked by the rain. Letting her tears flow down along the rain.

Juvia will go on a journey alone. Juvia shall erase every love cells in her mind and body so that I will not go through pain once again.

"Dammit..." Gray growled as he sat arrived home. "Why get mad at me?! What did I do?!" He threw his jacket away. The tears suddenly fell and he was confused on to why. "What the hell?" He fell to his knees.

"Dammit!" He punched the floor, "....... Why for someone like me?" He finally let it all out.
