The heart

Each step they took, their feet get sucked in by the snow deeper and the strong cold wind blew stronger and stronger. As if, it was preventing them from going any further. Pantherlily was in his manly form and shielded Gajeel and Levi from the wind. Gajeel forced Levy on staying in between them.

"Why do I have to be in between?!" Levy asked in annoyance.

"Cause you're a shrimp and you'll just end up getting flown away if ya stay behind us." Gajeel reasoned as he clicked his tongue. Levy just pouted.

"Fine. Whatever..."

A few moments have passed and Pantherlily has grown weaker. "Sorry, Levy, Gajeel." He apologised and turned back to his cutie form and fell on Levy arms.

They continued onwards. Levy held on tightly on Pantherlily in one arm while the other hand on Gajeel's tightly. They struggled to reach the peak. Levy felt weak and cold and fell on her knees. Gajeel felt this and she carried her bridal style.

Levy grew weaker and pale, snowflakes covering most of her as well as Gajeel and lily. Gajeel began to drag his feet in the snow, losing all the energy he has. But without giving up, he continued until he finally reached the peak. With the relief he gave, his body fell on the hard snow and held unto Levy and Lily close. Gajeel gave his last breath.

Their bodies began to be covered by snow and, "I just wanted to help Juvia, but I guess, we won't be living to at least see through it......" Levy thought as she was losing consciousness. She couldn't even lift a finger thus preventing her to use magic.

As her consciousness faded away, time froze and all became silent, a gentle light came and formed a body made of light. It was Juvia's heart. The Juvia they all knew with all the kind heart she has. She saw the sight in front her leaving her breathless. The little girl from a while ago came beside Juvia's heart.

"Keeping yourself sealed away from pain can't always help you because you'll just feel more pain to see your friends' suffer trying to open your heart from all the pain you contained within yourself." The girl said.

Juvia only looked away from her and scowled. The little girl smiled, "I know how it feels to be rejected by the ones you love," Juvia glanced at the girl.

"It may not have been wise to love him nonetheless met him because," the girl frowned, "I'm the reason why my very own image of a family is going to die..." Tears began to fall like waterfalls and clenched her dress.

"But," Juvia turned to her as she wiped away her tears.

"It doesn't mean our entire world will end just because of a rejection," she smiled. "As long as you have your friends by you, things could change for the better."

"To run away from pain is running away from reality. Acceptance is the key and deny denial." It made Juvia's eyes lit with life.

"Will you accept?" The girl asked and Juvia nodded with confidence.

Time began to move once again and a big warm light engulfed the cold bodies making it warm once more and bringing them to life. Levy was the first to open her eyes and saw that s circle of light shielded them from the cold winds. Warmth was coming through them.

Levy looked around and saw a ball of ice underneath the thick snow. It was the very source of where the light is protecting them. She looked closer and saw a necklace inside with the mark of Fairy Tail in it. She immediately knew it was Juvia's.

The other two began to wake and a small hologramic figure appeared atop of the ice ball. The team was surprised at first and soon realised it was Juvia. "Juvia!" Levy cried.

"Guys... Juvia deeply apologises!" She bowed sincerely. Gajeel and Levy looked at one another stunned and looked back to the still-bowing Juvia.

Levy and lily smiled gladly and Gajeel turned away his head and clicked his tongue. "Why are ya apologisin' t' us?" He asked.

Juvia looked up to him wondering. "You don't need to apologise, Juvia." Lily said.

"He's right!" Levy agreed gleefully. "Everyone has done something terrible to others once or twice but people can change for the better. We learn from our past and become who we are here right now." She quoted.

"During our days back at Phantom Lord, we did something terrible especially myself..." Gajeel glanced at Levy. "But, Fairy tail took us in and accepted us. So if ya think you've done something terrible to us, we won't be pointing the blame at ya." He chuckled.

Juvia felt happy, "then, shall we go and help them?" Juvia asked shyly. Gajeel just snickered and agreed.

All stood, Levy holding the orb which is Juvia's heart and the light dome that protected them disappeared and for unknown reasons, the snow stopped falling, the strong wind had stopped. It was peace and quiet. They all walked down the mountain and the girl just stood there watching them leave.

Juvia turned her head back and saw the girl smiling. "Can I at least know your name?" Juvia thought thinking maybe the girl would hear here.

Mavis. Mavis Vermillion. One of the founders and first master of Fairy Tail.

Mavis held up her arm, showing the back of her hand with the thumb and index finger pointing up.
