Day 3: Lilly woke me up when the first like shone. "If we are going to find more flags we need to go now." I yawned then nodded sleepily. I heard stomping and twigs breaking.  My eyes were directed towards Jasper; putting our fire out. Someone sits up next to me; Alex. She definitely has bed head; her long hair is tangled up In a messy bun, stray hairs cover her eyes. "Morning" She grumbles. "I'm guessing your not a morning person?" She snorts. "Let's go" Lilly yells at us. *sigh* I slowly stand. Alex flops back down into her laying position and huffs. I smile and reach out my hand. She grabs it and I focus all my muscles on pulling her up. Despite her laziness I get her to her feet. I bend down to tie up my shoes and then we are ready to go. We head in the direction my flag was pointing. Jasper who seemed to be the leader of the group walks up front. Alex and I walk just behind him chatting away. Lilly, Annabeth and Ashton walk at the back. Jasper abruptly stopped. He signalled us to be quit. We all crouch down, behind some bushes. Right in front of us is another bright pink flag. The only complication being another competitor is racing towards it. They haven't see us so we stay hidden. Annabeth pokes her head above the bushes. "The flags pointing East." She whispers back down to us. I nod, Jasper has a thoughtful look on his face. "What are we going to do about the competitor?" I ask Jasper. Lilly gasps as the competitor trips and goes tumbling down into a ditch. "This is what we're going to do" With that Jasper charges towards the flag, switches its direction to West and races back towards us. He dives Into the bushes just as the competitor gains their footing. We all prayed they didn't see Jasper. They amazingly took the bait; they grabbed the flag and headed West. We all silently cheered. Everyone gave Jasper high fives to congratulate him. Though I was impressed by Jaspers speed and quick thinking I felt sorry for that competitor; we sent them off in the wrong direction; they won't be able to save their sick family member. My thoughts were interrupted by someone's firm grip embracing me in a bear hug; Ashton. I smiled down at him and ruffled his shaggy hair. Someone as cute and innocent as Ashton shouldn't be in this nightmare. We start walking East, Ashton takes my hand as we start hiking.

Ahhh so cute!!
