Mums called woke me from my thoughts. "Clarke, lunch!" "Coming." I shoved the note and earpiece under my bed and ran downstairs. After gulping down my lunch I rushed back t my room to 'solve this mystery.' I grabbed the earpiece from under my bed and examined it closely. "What's that?" a squeaky voice asked, Abby! I forgot to lock my door. If I'm going to compete in this 'race' I am going to have to sharpen up. "It's just a present from Robyn." I replied. Abby scowled. "It looks like that thing old people wear cause they're deaf." "Go away Abby." By the time the sun was setting I had made my decision. My whole life was going to change for the better or the worse.
