Over 2 millenniums ago there was a war. A war between the angels of heaven and the demons of the underworld. Their battle field was the world between the two realms. Earth.
Innocent people were killed every day, and because of this humans were forced to choose sides for their own survial. The people of the church went to fight alongside the angels but because of their lust for power most humans went to the side of the demons. Because of this the angels were outnumbered a million to one.
But heaven still had hope for they still had the 5 elite angels on their side. Angels who have been ranked the best at controlling their elemental power.
They were Grifinita the elite angel of air, Aquadia the elite angel of water, Terra the elite angel of earth, Katalia the elite angel of fire, and Sarah the elite angel of light.
From all of the elements light was considered to be the strongest for it covers all.
But the underworld had their 5 elite generals. They were Koma the demon general of air, Hino the demon general of water, Modoga the demon general of earth, Galuf the demon general of fire. And the one who had the power to oppose Sarah's light. Madiaga the demon general of darkness.
Darkness was the only weakness of light and light was the only weakness of darkness. Light covers all, but darkness consumes all for darkness is the absence of light.
The war went on for several years and all seemed lost for heaven and it's angels but someone from the underworld woke up to justice and stood against his own kind. He was Madaiaga.
He fought as a dark knight and even though the angels wanted him dead this did not stop him from fighting by their side. It was because of him that the angels learned how to seal the gate and end the war forever. But it came with a price.
To seal the gate the five elite angels would have to embed their souls in the gate. The ultimate sacrifice.
On the day of the sealing the angels stood near the gate to the underworld with Madiaga. It was said that before the five could finish the seal Madiaga betrayed them and was able to kill the angel of light Sarah.
He tried to kill the others but it was too late. The seal was finished but because Sarah was not able to embed her soul on the gate the seal was weak and it is said that someday it would break and the war would once again begin.
