Have you ever felt so different in a place that you work at and it's just not the same? Well, I felt it a lot after Empire was taken over by Camilla Marks. I hated being her assistant doing every damn thing she wanted. Trust me, every time she tells me to do something for her, I fight every inch of my body to not punch her in the face. Since then, I started to think about quitting this job because of what happened with Lucious and I've had dealt with Camilla long enough these past months and it ends here. I was sitting alone in my new office that Becky gave me. I felt like I owed her for everything she has done for me, so I went out and bought her a new car. It might be so expensive, but it was worth it. It looks perfect for her...

I know, I'm a good friend

I know, I'm a good friend. I didn't give it to her yet because I wanted to surprise her and see the look on her face. Anyways, I got up picking up copies that Becky wanted me to give her and headed out the office. I turned the corner and see that Becky was making a phone call. She looked up and seen me and motioned me to sit it on her desk.

"Alright. I'll talk to you later. Bye." Becky ended the phone call and smiled at me, "Hey Veah. Those the copies?" She pointed out.

I nodded,

"Yeah. Who was that on the phone?" I asked curiously.

Becky sighed,

"That was no one important." She quickly replied.

I smirked coyly,

"Was that who I think it was?" Becky gave a wide smile and nodded,

"Yes, it was. He was just checking on me." She shyly said. I gave her a sly look, knowing she was on some major bullshit.

"You gettin' that freaky on, huh? I see what it is. Tell me all the details!" I demanded playfully.

Becky laughed.

"Maybe later. Right now, I have to deal with the new boss." I rolled my eyes at that statement, making Becky stare at me.

"You alright?" She asked. I gave her emotionless expression, not wanting to express my opinion on the matter.

"Not really....I just feel so bad that I can't help Lucious and the rest of the family. All I can do is just support them and sit here and work like it didn't happen. I feel like I'm working for the enemy." I complained, slamming the copies on her desk.

Becky nod her head in agreement,

"But we are working for her." I stayed quiet, getting real annoyed by this.

Becky huffed out an exaggerated sigh.

"Look, I know how you feel right now. This is all crazy and we are sitting here like a bunch of slaves. I'm dealing with this too, Ve. Trust me, Lucious will get his company back if it's the last thing he do. He'll even fight his way back, don't worry."

I slowly nodded, and decided to change the subject. "I'll let you get back to work. Oh, and I wanted to give you something later, if it's alright with you." I informed her.
