Today, I found out that Hakeem isn't CEO anymore thanks to Lucious. And good news is that Cookie wanted me to transfer and be her assistant, instead. I can't lie that I wasn't excited to be her personal assistant, but I was nervous about this. This was an opportunity to be one of the famous personal assistants the one and only Cookie Lyon. Boy, was I lucky. Speaking of lucky, me and Jamal have been doing great with this secret relationship thing. After our intimate session, I have been glowing out at Empire. Becky looked at me slyly and confused about what was making me what---or who, was making me have that "sex glow", so I told her everything. This was her expression: confused to shocked, shocked to smiling, and smiling to wicked.

"Oh my God..." Becky said speechless in her office chair, "You turned Jamal straight! How did you change his mind? Tell me how you put the magic spell on him!!" Becky shouted.

I covered her mouth, not wanting others to hear about it.

"Not so loud, Becky! Look, you can't tell anyone about this. Not even Cookie. She kinda knows, but she doesn't know that we are officially fooling around." I quoted, sitting across from her in her office. Becky nodded and crossed her heart.

"I swear on my heart, I won't tell no one." Becky provided.

"Good. Now Beck, I need your opinion on something. I haven't told Jamal or anyone about this, but I feel that I could use yours." I said softly.

"What is it?" Becky asked. I pulled out a notebook that was full of songs that I wrote. I gave it to her to look at them, and when she did, she was impressed.

"Whoa, Ne'veah! I didn't know you was a official songwriter. This is incredible." Becky commented.

"Well, I did help create some of Jamal's songs when I wasn't busy while having some motivation to do some of my own..." I started, making her look at me.

"What!? Shut up!"

"Yes, I did. I did love music when I was a child, and still do to this day. I just don't sing them." I shrugged.

"Why don't you sing them? You could be famous at writing these songs and making hits!" Becky said, giving back my notebook.

"I...I have stage fright. And I like to be more in the background then the spotlight, Becky. There's other reasons why I don't like to sing." I said sadly.

"Well, everybody can have a stage fright in front of people the first time. You'll get used to it if you practiced enough. You should try it out, it'll be get better." Becky motivated. I stayed quiet at her words. I do want to share my passion with the world, but I was frightened at it for many reasons. I had secrets about me not singing, even my darkest secret....

I went to this ASA party that Lucious and Jamal was bring honored at. I knew Jamal still wasn't at good terms with his father, so I decided to go and support him to keep him on balance. Cookie was going also, so me being with Jamal wouldn't be much attention to the public with her in the equation.

"ASA voting's over in 10 days. Make sure you vote for a Lyon. Anyone, doesn't matter. You look beautiful. Nice group of people." Cookie motivated to the guests, while I had to follow her everywhere since I was her assistant.

"Cookie, do you always do this to get on people's nice side?" I whispered to her.

"Yes, and if we want them to vote for them, we have to act nice to these wonderful people! Didn't you go to school for that?" Cookie says, passing by another guest. I rolled my eyes, and caught Jamal speaking to a few people. Cookie went over there, and I went with her.
