Prologue

It was a beautiful night in Paris. A cat-like boy was running on the rooftops. Chat Noir was his name. He was one of the two superheroes that protected Paris from any danger. The other hero was called Ladybug. An amazing girl, brave, selfless, beautiful and smart. Even though Chat didn't know who she really was, he loved her with all his heart. The sad part was that Ladybug kept rejecting him. Maybe she'll fall for him some day.

Chat Noir's POV

After having a fight with his dad, Adrien Agreste transformed into his alter ego, Chat Noir, as his kwami, Plagg, got sucked up into his miraculous, a silver ring. He hopped out on the window and started patrolling the streets of Paris, the city of love. He just loved how the wind went through his blonde locks. When he was Chat Noir, he felt... free. If I only could feel like this as my civilian self.. As Adrien, he barely had time to breathe. He was the son of Gabriel Agreste, the famous fashion designer. In most of his time, Adrien went to photoshoots, all set up by his father's assistant, Nathalie. Since Adrien's mother dissapeared, Nathalie had been like a mother to him, but less affectionate. The rest of his time was split in two. Being Chat Noir, saving the day alongside Ladybug and going to school. He was a teenager after all.
Chat Noir let these thoughts go away as he soared through Paris. Everything seemed so peacefull. There weren't any akuma attacks lately so he had enough time to rest. Then he heard a loud scream. " Speaking of the devil.." he muttered to himself. Chat Noir ran in the direction of the scream. In front of him was another Chat Noir holding a terrified girl in his arms. He imediatly recognised her. She was Marinette, the beautiful, shy classmate of his. He never got to talk to her too much being Adrien because she kept stuttering every time he tried to talk to her. Chat was brought back to reality by the impostor's growl.
"I thought we got rid of you, Copy Cat!" Chat said in an annoyed voice.
"Not yet. Now stop chatting or your little friend here gets squized by gravity." Copy Cat said in the same low growl. Poor Marinette was scared and not knowing what to do.
"Don't you dare!" Chat said. And that was it. Copy Cat let Marinette go, screaming while she fell. The villan dissapeared in the shadows.
"Marinette!" Chat Noir yelled before jumping after her. He caught her in mid fall. She was trembling. Poor Princess. Chat thought while the girl was trying to calm herself down.
" Marinette, are you okay?" The cat asked concerned.
"I'm fine Chat. Thanks to you." She said." Now I'm goin-"
"Don't you even think about it. I'm taking you home." Chat interrupted her. After two good minutes of talking, Marinette gave up. Her knight in shining armor picked her up, bridal-style and ran towards Marinette's home, wich also happened to be the most famous bakery in Paris. He finaly reached Marinette's balcony.
" Thank you again, Chat." Marinette said while Chat Noir put her down on the balcony floor.
" It was my paw-leasure, Princess. But you know, a lady can always repay her knight with a kiss, right?" Chat had his usual cheeky smile on his face.

Marinette's POV

" Maybe another time kitty." Marinette said, feeling her cheeks warm up. Good thing it was pretty dark and Chat couldn't see her red face.
" See ya 'round, Marinette." Chat said kissing his Princess's hand.
" Bye kitty-cat." Mari watched as her savior used his staff to dissapear into the sea of houses. " I wonder what wanted Copy Cat. I mean, he didn't even ask for Chat's miraculous." The bluenette told her kwami, Tikki.
" We will find out soon. Now you have to go to bed because you know how grumpy you are in the morning and you'll be late for school again." Tikki adviced her seriously.
" Good thinking." Marinette laughed at her kwami's seriousness as she pulled the blankets over her and drifted to sleep.
