BELOVED NEVER AVENGE YOURSELVES

"Come in." Donovan glared at the door as it swung open and sighed loudly.

Patrice walked in and went straight to a chair and plopped down into it. Donovan leaned his back against the file cabinet, crossed his arms over his chest and just looked at her, waiting. After a few moments he lost it. "Well, what the hell do you want Patrice?"

She sighed deeply. How dare you Donovan? How fucking dare, you buy that man a ring! Do you realize what will happen if he tells anyone that you bought him that ring? You'll lose everything.

"First of all who said I bought him a ring Patrice. She narrowed her eyes at him do I look that stupid to you? This is something you would do probably for some slight you made and that ring is a makeup gift more than likely.

"Not that this is any of your business but Brocus and I are better than ever and I've never had to buy him gifts, nor would I ever slight him for anyone."

Yeah right but what if he tells someone you did? Don't you worry about him stabbing you in the back?"

"There is only one person in my life that would do that and they are in this room. A hint they are the female of the two. I don't have to explain anything to you Patrice. Actually I prefer not to speak to you about anything but the kids and since you don't know much about them we can keep that conversation really short."

"You are an asshole," she growled.

Donovan smiled. "Look the only person you would ever have to worry about tell anyone about Brocus and me is the male in this room."

Patrice gasped loudly. You wouldn't dare.

Try me Patrice. I could confess to my parents, apologize to the church and move on. I could ride into the sunset and live happily ever after with Brocus and the kids.

Oh you are sadly mistaken that I wouldn't fight you for custody."

Donovan doubled over in laughter he wiped at his eyes. Patrice you are sadly mistaken that this is not part of the prenup it clearly states I get sole custody of any children produced by our marriage.

Her mouth fell open. She didn't recall that being a clause but she was sure at the time she didn't care, but the kids were now her only bargaining tool if he decided to come out. They would truly lose everything. "And what will you do with yourself after you make this grand announcement? How will you provide for the children um? Brocus will even those his job with the church.

Patrice let me and Brocus worry about our finances. Look we become more bitter toward each other with each passing day. We are both sleeping with other people; the only times we are together are for church appearance. Why don't we just divorce? I mean you should have a sizable savings accumulated over the past five years. God knows you don't spend any on this house to keep in running. Hell Patrice you don't even spend it on the kids. Not to mention you'll get another lump sum with the divorce and it could just be annulled we've never consummated the marriage. You could claim that as grounds hell blame me I'll take the heat. I'd rather we end this arrangement and at least be civil to one another because we both know we'll never be friends.

Patrice looked him over such a handsome man the number of women she'd heard comment on his looks was over whelming. How many had told her she was so lucky that he was charming and so kind. He has so much going for him and he wants to throw it away and live the life of a faggot with his boyfriend it made her nauseous but more than anything it pissed her off. "If I do this divorce thing you will just continue to live your life in the closet and become this mega-pastor with the mega-congregation and little ole me on the outside looking in. Donovan why do you think I blackmailed you? So I could give up five years of my life and walk away with a consolation prize? No honey I want the ultimate pay off and I'll be damn if I don't go down with the ship trying to get my share."
