Clarke's P.O.V
I am sitting on the couch, legs crossed, waiting for the moment of Lexa's call. Anxiously waiting to hear the ringtone of my cellphone, then jumping up in excitement. I shake my phone in my hands, impatiently. Nervousness raging inside of me.
I took time to dress up casually. I am wearing jeans that are ripped up a bit on the upper thigh and a dark grey crewneck. My hair up in a bun. I struggled not knowing what to where, and knowing who I am I didn't give in time to check the night before on what to wear. Procrastination is my middle name when it comes to things like this. I hope I am dressed okay.
"You excited?" Octavia asks coming into our living room. A cup of coffee in her hands, wearing short shorts, and a white flannel. She takes a seat next to me on the couch.
"I'm more nervous than excited." I reply.
"Of course you'd be nervous your only going on a date with a very high class respected woman who is the CEO of a very powerful company. Not only that-" I cut her off, "Octavia that's not helping." I add a giggle and she joins in.
"I hope it goes well." I say still feeling edgy.
"It will go well." Octavia says. "I'm proud your getting out there after you know..."
I don't say anything. She notices my reaction and she stays quiet along with me. I just look down, avoiding eye contact, and stay silent trying to force those memories out of my head. A thin line forms on my lips. I know what or shall I say who she's talking about. I let my mind fade somewhere else.
Then my phone rings! I jump off the couch and get on my feet. It's Lexa! I answer immediately and press the phone to my ear.
"Hello?" I say timidly.
"Good morning Clarke. I'm outside already." She says.
"Oh okay. I'll be down there." I reply. Then the phone hangs up.
"Good luck." Octavia says waving goodbye at me as I head my way towards the door.

There she is...
Standing in front of her luxurious black car. She looks amazing. She has that casual yet professional look. Wearing jeans with nice dress shoes, a grey loose shirt, and a blue blazer over it. Her hair pulled back slightly. The wavy curls laying perfectly on her shoulders.
Wow...
I take a deep breath taking it all in. I stand in front of her and give her a sheepish smile. She smiles back at me.
"How are you?" She asks as she opens the car door for me.
"I'm doing great. How about you?" I ask back.
"I'm feeling amazing." She says smiling at me. My shyness slowly eases away and I get comfortable. I smile at her but a bit flirtatious this time.

I listen in awe as Lexa tells me intriguing stories. One after the other, there seems to be an unending thrill in her. I am absorbed with attraction for her and I love it. My ears never get tiered of listening to her voice explaining things that my brain is too small to understand. I love that she has so much knowledge. How does she do it? Her vocabulary is massive and it makes me feel so foolish and slow. I don't care.
We sit at a table in a Starbucks. My hands curl the warm cup in which my coffee is in. I try to keep it cool and use every opportunity to impress her.
"You've done a lot." I say impressed.
"Yeah let's hope that next time I do something intriguing I won't be alone," she says and she winks. I blush.
"Enough about me. Tell me everything about you." She says.
"Everything? My life stories are no comparison to how interesting yours are," I tell her.
"Oh come on." She says. I shake my head but can't help to make a shy smirk.
"Clarke everything about you fascinates me." She tells me comforting me to be more open.
I smile at her. Then she says, "tell me anything about you."
I do. I go on and on about me. I sound quite vain as I keep going but she sounds into it and she keeps asking me questions and I answer them honestly. I can't remember anyone else being this interested to know about me. Honestly. I like it. Occasionally, I touch her hand or arm lightly and I can feel chills get her with every touch I give her. It's the good type of chills. I should know because I get them too, the electrical feeling that it gives.

We finished and she is heading over to my place to drop me off. It's 11:00 a.m. It feels like we've been out for such little time. I want to do this more. I want more of this. I want more of her. I want all of her.
Finally, we reach the front of my apartment building. A feeling of absence hits my chest. I haven't even gotten out of the car and I already miss the time we shared. I don't want to leave. I relate to a child who doesn't want to go to school but stay at home safe with its mother.
"Can we do this again?" I burst out.
"I would love that." She says smiling at me. "How about dinner tomorrow? At my place?"
I nod, "that would be awesome."
We smile at each other. I put my hand on the door handle but then Lexa stops me, "wait."
I look back at her. Next I know I see her lean to me slowly. We don't break eye contact. She places her hand on mine and I tighten my grip. Then it happens...
Her lips press against mine lightly. Her lips feel soft and warm. I open my mouth more and push my head in more making the kiss more intense. A hit of lust comes to me. We pull apart, breaking the kiss. I look at her in her eyes. I smile at her and bite my lip. That was nice.
"See you tomorrow," she says.
"Can't wait," I reply.
Then I get out of the car having the thought of her lips dominate my mind throughout the day.
