"Jennifer..." Ricky stared at the picture of his deceased girlfriend. "She's the only thing I ever cared about."
Ricky's hand was shaking a bit while he grasped onto a smoldering cigarette. His legs were stretched out onto a small bed as he rested his neck back against the soft white wall. The room was empty except for his bed, two chairs, a nightstand, a window that had iron bars on it and an ashtray. Next to the ashtray was a black and white picture of a young blonde girl with a smile that could just break your heart. Ricky was staring at this photograph, his own heart broken.
"I was convinced I'd never love again, Doc." Ricky shook his head and slid out of bed just after turning the photograph over. He slowly walked over to an older man who was much shorter than Ricky. He took a long drag off of his cigarette before blowing the smoke into the older man's face. "I was wrong." He grinned cunningly.
"Tell me about it, Richard." The older man, known as Doc, said before taking a seat, waiting for Ricky to sit down himself.
Ricky huffed before letting the cigarette drop from between his fingers and onto the floor, he stepped on it, putting the flame out. "Okay." He said with a smirk before sitting down.
"I remember sulking on a park bench near where Jennifer had been killed. A girl approached me, she wasn't blonde like Jennifer, but brunette. A smile that was worth millions." Ricky smiled himself as he looked down at the floor, remembering the girl who saved him.
Ricky's thoughts were interrupted by the doctor. "Is she dead, Ricky?" Ricky's eyes shot up, he was glaring at the doctor. "Ricky! Did you kill her?" The doctor's voice rose and Ricky stood up quickly, the chair being knocked over in the process.
"Of course not! I loved her!" Ricky shouted, throwing his hands in the air in frustration.
"You loved Jennifer as well."
Ricky picked the chair up and sat down once again. "Jennifer..." He let out a burst of sarcastic laughter. "I was to good for her." Ricky leaned in closer towards the doctor, his face just inches from his. "Should I go on?"
The doctor nodded just before Ricky back away and continued on. "I remember she asked me what was wrong." Ricky mimicked a females voice. "Are you all right? What's wrong?" He sighed heavily, taking another cigarette out from behind his ear, lighting it.
"I didn't answer her at first. I just kinda looked at her, studied her. Thinking that she'd be different than Jennifer, she wouldn't hurt me, she wouldn't be naughty." He sighed.
"And was she different?" The doctor stared at Ricky, his lips parted just slightly as he listened to Ricky's story.
"Hm, in due time, doc. Don't rush me." Ricky took a drag of his cigarette.
"I remember nodding at her, then telling her that my girlfriend just recently past away. I spared her the details on her death, of course."
