Raynes pov.




As we walked up the stairs after the pack meeting I went in search of my mother. I felt a familiar tingle in my hand and knew Zander was attached to me.




"So where exactly are we going?" Zander asked in my ear as we walked side by side.




"I want to find my mom!" I said quietly watching the people around me closely.




"Why are we whispering!?" Zander asked whispering next to me.




I rolled my eyes and continued my search, soon enough I found my mother standing extremely close to Jonathan. I walked over to the with Zander still in tow and gently tapped my mom.




"Oh Rayne honey, where have you been I've been looking everywhere for you!"




"I've been with Zander, we um talked last night..." She gasped and watched in awe as i spoke to her, a tear slowly dropping down her cheek.




She grabbed Zander and hugged him tightly. "Thank you, I don't know what you did but thank you so much."




"I don't either he just kind of started talking and hasn't stopped since really." Zander said triumphantly as he wrapped his arm around me.




I glanced around as people walked around, still flooding through the doors of the meeting hall. I noticed a few men and women, even children and teens giving us dirty looks. I was confused at first but realized we I was cuddled into Zanders side as we talked to my mom and Johnathan.




"Johnathan do you think we can call a pack meeting later today? I want to explain what is going on." I heard Zander say as I unconsciously back at my new pack mates.




"We would have to talk to your father but most likely yes, that would be smart." He said in a strong tone as he watched his pack.




My mom quickly changed the subject and began her usual rambling. "Rayne we need to go home and unpack, we have so much to do!" She said as I drifted in and out of listening.




I looked at Zander then back at my mom, I know I should choose my mom over anyone, but after what I had told Zander I knew he wasn't letting me out of his sight. I also knew that he couldn't live anywhere but the alpha house. I looked at my mother and before I could speak she began again.




"Oh honey sorry that slipped my mind...oh my baby is growing up so fast! Before you know it you two will be having kids of your own." She said as my cheeks turned bright red as the words slipped out of my mouth.




"Mom we don't have the necessary parts to make a baby as a couple." I stated.




"Well obviously, but you never know." What is she talking about? This woman's gone bat shit crazy.




"Well um I guess we should go talk to your father Zander." John stated quickly to keep this conversation from escalating more than it already has.




"Oh ok, will you be okay by yourself?" he asked in my ear as he hugged me closer.




"I'll be with my mom I'll be fine." I stated as I pushed him away towards john. I could feel his eyes on my back as I walked away with my mom. I could also feel them go lower, of course I expected that though.
