"You saw Lauren's dad?!"
Dinah ran a hand through her hair as she paced back in forth in front of Ally and Normani, anger and anxiety brewing inside her. As soon as she had seen the older man, she hijacked it out of there, taking Harper and Lia and going straight to the couples house.
At the moment, the two girls were watching a movie Normani had set up for them in the living room, while the adults talked hidden away in Normani's home office. Ally was seated comfortably in her wife's desk chair, hands resting on her protruding belly, while Normani leaned against the dark mahogany desk, both with concerned looks on their faces.
Dinah let out a low breath and nodded her head, mouth and nose twitching in anger. "Yeah. And get this: he thought Amelia was my daughter." She scoffed loudly, stopping in the middle of the room and crossing her arms angrily. "But he looked like a ghost when I told him she was his granddaughter. And God, when he saw Harper," she shook her head.
Ally's face contorted worriedly at the mention of her niece. "Did Harper speak to him? Did she know?"
Dinah shrugged, "No idea. I don't think so, she would've said something in the car."
Normani sighed, reaching up and rubbing her temples. "Well fuck. Are you going to tell them?"
Dinah blinked, her anxiety taking over her anger. "Who? Mila and Lauren?"
"No, Harper and Lia." Normani answered sarcastically, crossing her arms across her chest. "Yes Camila and Lauren. You know? Their parents? Mike's daughter?" She didn't feel as though Mike had enough respect from her to call him Mr. Jauregui. She would sooner call Chris that, than his father.
Ally rolled her eyes from beside her in the desk chair, poking the woman's hip. "Mani. Be nice. No need to be so hostile,"
Normani merely huffed but mumbled out an apology, as Dinah smirked at the exchange.
"Whipped," she chuckled, feeling a little less tense. "You're worse than Lauser. And Lo is whipped,"
Normani's eyes narrowed as Ally merely smiled, not denying it. "Yeah, okay, we'll wait until you're married and then talk about how whipped you are."
Dinah only scoffed as she flipped her hair, "Bish please, I am barely 23, I ain't getting married anytime soon. I still got a life to live, hoi. I'm still young and fresh."
"Are you calling us old and stale?" Normani replied, eyebrows raising in challenge.
Dinah only grinned innocently. "Ay, look at the time. I better get these girls back to their mamas. Camila told me not to keep them for too long." She quickly escaped the small space, secretly terrified of Normani's wrath and Ally's pregnancy hormones.
"Ayo, Lauser junior, mini Chancho, let's go."
Harper blinked as Dinah scooped her younger sister into her arms and pulled her out of the modest two story house. "Where are we going now, aunt Dinah?"
Dinah glanced at the time on her phone after placing Amelia into her car seat. It was barely six, and Camila had told her to keep the girls until eight. Yeah, she definitely lied to Normani when she said she needed to get the girls home.
She shrugged as she buckled the two year old in, looking at Harper as she leaned against the car. "Didn't you say you wanted to get your ears pierced?"
Harper tugged gently on her earlobe at the mention and furrowed her eyebrows. "Yeah, but Mama and Mommy said no."
Dinah shrugged again, shutting the car door and rounding the vehicle to the other side with the nine year old. "What your mamas don't know won't hurt 'em," she grinned, opening the door for her.
