"Lawrence! You can't get into trouble anymore!" Lawrence was tired of school  and hearing his mom. He had got into trouble for stealing from the vending machine. "They are giving you a chance to get your credits and graduate early. You are going to be home schooled by Me!" Lawrence was know mad.

That is how Lawrence came to hate his parents and school. After a long year of homeschooling and half a year in school for Gym. He graduated at Sixteen.

"Are you happy they sent us the diplomas?" Lawrence's friend Sahara asked him. Him and her were Home schooled together by the 'Nice neighbor lady'. "Yea i guess.....I mean it is not that big of a deal since i hate school." Lawrence hated school so much. "Hey guys. What are you both doing?" Sahara's cousin, Jacob asked. "Not much just wishing to be far from here" Lawrence muttered. "Well my Grandpa's father lived in Maine and i heard there is some nice abandoned land down there. He died ten years ago but nobody touched his land." Jacob told them. "My grandpa used to live up there. The river separated their properties." Lawrence blankly muttered. "We could move out their. It is far from here" Sahara suggested. "Who will drive us?" Lawrence was skeptical. "I have my license. So does Jacob" Sahara was getting Lawrence's attention. "Fine. But i would have to steal from my mom for the money." Lawrence told them.

When Lawrence got home he went to his Grandma's room. "Hey Lynch" Grandma rasped his middle name. "Hello Granny Wilma" Lawrence was closest to her. "Call me Mad dog" Grandma coughed. "You are nothing but a sick old granny" Lawrence joked. Grandma put her hand on her chest while Lawrence sat next to her bed. "I used to ride motorcycles from Cali to my Grandpa's off the grid land." Grandma choked up the words. "Is that true?" Lawrence looked at her. "I was a wild girl. I went to parties, ran away to Utah, and drove old mustang cars." Grandma told him. Lawrence knew she was dying but he wanted to leave. He was torn between staying for her or leaving. "Something's bothering you. What is it?" Grandma was on to him. Lawrence sighed. "I want to go to Great grandpa's land." Lawrence blurted out. "You mean my Grandpa's land that was passed down to my Father? If so it was passed down to me and i pass it to you" Grandma told him. "How do i get there?" Lawrence asked. "Follow the trail your heart sets." Grandma told him. Grandma leaned closer and gave him a kiss on the forehead. "I am glad you know how to be a wild child unlike your mother" Grandma went to sleep.

Lawrence looked in His mom's purse for Money. "What are you doing?" Grandma must have woke up because she was in the door way of his mom's room. "I was just....Um" Lawrence looked around and saw Grandma Wilma grab the purse and pull out four hundred dollars. "Here, Remember the dog tore it up" Grandma took it out side and beat it with a stick. Dang she's crazy, Lawrence thought.
