The door was a heavy oak and was worn down in such a way that it looked tired. Henry knocked on the door and said something in a whisper. Suddenly, the top of the door slid open and I saw a pair of blue eyes staring intently at Robin.
"Password?" came the mysterious whisper
Henry then muttered something and just as the door was sliding open, my phone started ringing. It was Twi. I motioned to Robin that I would stay outside while he talked to "Volt" or whatever his name was.
Robin then walked inside while giving me a thumbs up. After the doors closed, all I could remember were the striking eyes of the mysterious stranger.
I stood outside in shock not noticing the persistent ringing coming from my boob. "Shit" I said, then grabbed for my phone and quickly answered.
"WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU" Twi screamed at me
I rubbed my ears and whispered into the phone, "Jesus, keep your voice down Satan"
"I have been so worried, I tried to call you but your phone was going straight to voicemail"
"I'm sorry, all I know was that some guy named Devon tried to get me drunk and I woke in a God's office and promptly ran off, so now I'm with Robin outside a private door looking for someone named Volt and I promise I'll be home super soon" I rattled on. Twi was usually very friendly but when she got mad she turned into Satan's godchild.
"Honey, that guy succeeded in getting you drunk, you were yelling about pennies or some shit and disappeared with the guy before I even knew you were gone" she replied sounding worried, "I tried looking for you but some guy told me he had you handled, like you were a misbehaving child or something"
"Did the guy have a smirk on his face the whole time he was talking to you?"
"Yeah, he was so arrogant"
I hummed to myself and felt my face go red.
"Do you know this guy's name?" I asked Twi
"No, I heard it before but I forgot it" she replied, "It sounds Russian or something"
"Thanks babe" I said. I suddenly heard a man screaming from the room. It sounded like a murmur until I got closer to the door. There was a masculine voice yelling, "Where is she" repeatedly.
"What is that" Twi asked.
I had forgotten that she was still on the phone and quickly whispered into the handset, "I'll call you right back" before hanging up.
As soon as I moved away from the door, I felt it slide open. Robin walked out looking very sick and I rushed towards him. I again peeped the mesmerizing blue eyes before the door shut with an audible "THUD".
