The guild hall was filled with cheery muttering. You sat at the bar, water in hand. Sting and Rogue were over at the other end of the room, talking to Frosch and Lector. Master Jiemma was at a conference, so everyone was a little more at peace. After joining Sabertooth two years ago, you had only two friends, Sting and Rogue. Now you were all fourteen and starting to take easy solo jobs. Wandering over to Sting and Rogue, you join their conversation.

"Let's do it Rogue! Come on!" Sting was pleading.
"It's above our skill level. We cannot push ourselves too much. Master only recently allowed us to go on solo jobs."

"Hey guys," you greeted with a smile. Rogue turned, but Sting ignored you. That hurt. Rogue turned to you sympathetically. He was the only one who knew about your little crush on the Light Dragon Slayer.

"Are you guys going on a job?" You asked, ignoring Sting, who was currently picking at his fingernails. Rogue opened his mouth to reply, but Sting cut him off. "Yeah, but what business is it of yours? You're not invited." Tears pricked at your eyes as Sting finished the sentence.

"Fine. I'll be on my own job." You turned on your heel and stormed off.

*Time Skip*

"We're BACK!"
You turned as you heard your best friend's voice. Sting, Rogue, and their Exceeds had thrown open the door. As it turned out, Rogue was right. The job they took was way too powerful for them, but they finished the job anyways. Now apparently they're "hot stuff".

"Congrats guys! Great job out there!" You cheered them on. Sting still ignored you, but Rogue smiled and gave a quiet thanks. You rolled your eyes at Sting and walked away again.

Little did you know, but Sting watched you every step you took. It took all his willpower not to chase after you. He sighed, but kept gloating about killing those hybrid monsters.

*Three weeks later*

You sat at the bar next to the Twin Dragon Slayers. "Hey Rogue." You didn't even bother addressing Sting, as he would just ignore you. Rogue nodded then returned to talking to Frosch. "Wow (Y/N), I thought we were friends." Sting said snottily. You slammed your hands down on the wooden bar, denting it. Turning to him with fire in your eyes, you said "So did I, Sting, so did I. But you know what? I've had it with you and your stupid game of ignoring me. You've made my life a living hell because I feel as if I've done something wrong. And the first words you speak to me in three weeks are bratty. I used to love you, but apparently you're just an asshole. So," You turned to Rogue and mouthed 'sorry, I love you' And turned back to Sting. "I'm done with you. And this guild."

Gasps rang out throughout the guildhall, which had gone silent, watching the events unfold. Sting was sitting there, unable to move. He was surprised, not thinking he had been able to hurt you this much.

Lifting your sleeve, you started doing what you've been thinking of doing for the last three weeks. This sudden burst of courage possesses you to expose your (color) Guildmark. Angrily, you mutter a quick spell. The mark faded and disappeared as it had never been. You look at Jiemma and nod curtly. Storming out the Sabertooth doors, you hear Rogue calling your name.

You start running, not looking back.

*Six Years Later, right before the Grand Magic Games*

"Ugh, these outfits are ridiculous." Pulling on your collar, you fidget. Erza laughed.
"I don't think they're THAT bad," she smiles.

"That's because you look incredible in anything," you mutter. Gray smirks from beside you. Natsu is chatting with Elfman and you sigh. This is the first Grand Magic Games you've ever attended and you're nervous about even watching, but competing is a different story altogether.

The faint voices of the commentators are only making you more nervous. Gray puts a hand on your shoulder to calm you and you offer a grateful smile. He smiles back at you.

"ANNNND NOW, IN EIGHTH PLACE, WELCOMING FAIRY TAIL!"

Preparing to walk out, you take a deep breath and start taking confident strides alongside Gray and Erza.

I mean, fake it till you make it, right?

The bright light blinded you, but you could see the rest of Fairy Tail cheering over the boos of the crowd. Glancing around the arena, you see a certain guild that caused your stomach to drop in anger. Sabertooth.

Waving, the crowd waits for the next guilds to be announced. You zone out a little, taking in the awesome arena.

"AND SABERTOOTH!" Your head snapped up at that. Your eyes met with a certain dark haired Sabertooth Mage. Rogue. A smile of relief spread across your face...until you realized he wasn't the only one trying to meet your eyes. A blonde was there, staring at you with a weird mixture of emotions on his face.

Truth was, you still loved Sting. But he could never know that. If he did, he would use it as an advantage. You couldn't ever let him know. You blinked and glared at him. Sting looked down. Sighing, you turn, meeting Gray's eye. "Are you okay?" He asks. You nod, steeling your emotions and looking hard towards the crowd.

*LE TIMESKIP TO AFTER THE FIRST DAY (LAST ONE I SWEAR Q^Q)*

You celebrated, grabbing another drink. Cana sat at the bar besides you. Hearing your name called, you turn. There Rogue stood, smiling. "ROGUE!" You yelled and jumped at him. He laughed and spun you around. He sat you down and stepped out of the way.

Behind him, Sting stood awkwardly. You two met eyes and he smiled tentatively.

"C-can I talk to you?" Sting's raspy voice asked you shyly. You bit your lip at tried to look at Rogue, but he was gone. You looked at Sting and nodded.

You two went outside in silence. You and Sting looked at each other, not doing anything. "I know you hate mushy apologies, so I'll keep this simple. I'm sorry," he suddenly blurts. "I'm sorry for everything I did to you. I ignored you, I pushed you away. I'm sorry. I pushed you away because I've always been in love with you. Your sparkling eyes, your amazing smile, your hair, have me captivated even six years later."

His confession stunned you. "Sting." You stop him from saying anything further. "I love you too." His eyes grew wide and he smiled. You put your hands on his shoulders and pull him closer, kissing him.

"I have always loved you, Sting."
