"Yes, I understand that you did wrong and that you are sorry, Cole. But, you have two children to take care of now. Not to mention you cheated me and Andy." I am on the phone while trying to get this article out. I stop typing for a while and huff at the hundreds of unanswered romance patriots seeking advice.
"Cole, why don't you find someone else?" I listen to his answer as I sit back in my chair.
Cole has been calling me since he found out that Andy found out that Kimber was pregnant with his baby as well. Cole started calling me to explain his case about how Kimber got pregnant. I still don't understand how he could have gotten her pregnant on accident. He claims that he wasn't meaning to go that far with Kimber.
"Because I want to be with you. You know this." Cole responds heavily.
I scratch the side of my head. "I can't. I have Riki now and he is amazing to me." I don't want to brag, but he may bring me to that.
"You will be sorry, Sirrah."
"Being with you, I already was." I hang up the phone, not into his threats. He always threatens me then calls me to apologize and tell me he loves me and did not mean what he had said. Once again, I knew better, hence why Tyasia and I started taking a kickboxing class a few months ago. Just in case, Cole does make good on his threats.
As soon as I go back to typing my boss, Mr. Ellwood bursts in my office, scaring me. I rub my forehead and wonder if he only does this to me. "Ms. Winters, how is that article coming along?" He smiles and eyes me.
"It's coming."
Mr. Ellwood is a great boss also highly understanding to personal issues. Lately, I have been sensing that something is going on in his own personal life, which he is trying to deal with alone. "Are you okay, sir?"
"I am good. Now, be sure to get those articles out on time." He dashes off, closing the door behind him. He then reappears not even a second after closing the door. I look up.
"Yes, sir?"
"I saw your picture on the front of a magazine this morning." He pulls the magazine from his back pocket, showing me the photo of myself. I am posing in a long black Valentio dress holding a bottle of expensive wine.
"Yes, that is me," I assure him, proudly.
"Mind if I get an autograph for my son?" He walks in meekly holding the magazine out.
"Sure." I take out my favorite silver glittery sharpie from my top drawer and scribble my initials on the cover.
Mr. Ellwood smiles as he observes the photo. "Hard to believe this is you, Ms. Winters."
I raise my eyebrows.
"No, I mean you look different than when you are here." He tries his best to reword what he meant.
"Oh," I grin. "It's okay. I understand."
"Thanks." He dashes out of my office and closes the door.
Hoping I would not be interrupted anymore, I turn on my speaker that is attached to my Ipod and begin to play soft music to help my workload flow. The old school music begins to play in my office and I begin to type out a few letter to go on the article. I usually pick the hopeless romantics who truly need advice. I have often thought about pitching to my boss, a speeding dating night exclusively for the ones who have entered their issues to me. However, I have yet to come up with enough singles who are willing to be a part of the speed dating or the announcement for it.
Just as I am about to get ready to meet Tyasia for lunch, I am stopped at my office door by Engel Ricknar. Since I started working here, Engel has found a way to make my job here a living hell.
