Fight

*Alex's POV*
We finally finished our "study" session after two and a half hours of hell. Adam did nothing but goof off and hit on any and every girl in eyesight, Rose sat quietly actually doing her homework, and I did my usual by being openly hostile to everything.
"So we all done here? Cause I'm ready to get the fuck out of here," I say,"Have we like bonded or whatever?"
"We're done for the day, but we're not done bonding yet," Adam answers.
"Um actually I have to go get some groceries before I go home, and I don't like being out after dark," Rose says quietly. Adam sighs and before answering.
"Fine but there will be more bonding time later, and it will not involve homework," Adam said flashing that shit eating grin of his. I roll my eyes and frown. Like hell is he dragging me on one of his fucked up "adventures".
" Adam I told you last time I'm not going on another "adventure" with you again," Rose said exasperatedly. Whatever happened must have been pretty damn bad considering the sour look Rose's face and the way Adam shifted uncomfortably in his seat.
"I told you before I didn't mean to set your hair on fire, and I've said I'm sorry like a million billion times what do you want from me!!!" Adam whined.
"And I've told you I forgive you for it ,but I'm not going on anymore "adventures " so you can find us something to do that won't get us possibly arrested and/ or sent to a hospital," Rose says sternly. Damn how in Hell's name did someone as meek as her deal with Adam.
"Ugh fiiiiinnnnneeeee well like go to a movie or some boring ass shit like that," Adam says slowly sliding down in his seat.
"Alright if we're done here then I'm out," I say standing and swinging my bag over my shoulder, "See ya tomorrow or whatever". Rose stood to do the same when the bell above the door rang signaling someone had entered. Rose looked past me and she immediately stiffened and her eyes widened. Looking behind me to see what caused the reaction I him. Peter. That little fuck boy.
" Aww how cute! The lovely couple out on a date," Peter  sneered,"Good thing we didn't come here an hour ago or we would have had to deal with the gays making out or something even worse." Looking over I saw Rose looked like she was about to burst into tears. Why the fuck didn't she say something or better yet punch the prick in the face. I knew Peter had targeted her because he thought we were together, but after all this time you think he would have backed off or Rose would have  snapped on him. She was still as weak and shy as I remembered.
"Look asshole I'm really fucking tired right now so I don't want to have to beat the living shot out of you, but that doesn't mean I  won't. So why don't you be a good little boy and back the fuck off," I said dropping my bag ready to beat the living shit out of them.
"Oh Alex same as fucking ever. Always protecting that pretty little girlfriend of yours. And what an interesting choice of clothes," He said.
"My clothes?" I asked looking down at the old Batman T-shirt I had grabbed out of my suitcase this morning.
"Ya know it's just fitting considering what it has in common with you. A rich kid with dead parents and girlfriend in need of saving. The only difference is your girlfriend's trash and you could have saved your parents if you hadn't been so drunk," Peter taunted. He smiled and started to turn around when my fist connected with his face.
"Don't you dare say shit about Rose or my goddamn parents you asshole!" I yelled. I was about to hit him again when someone grabbed my hand. When I looked back and saw who it was no was surprised.
"Rose let the fuck go of my goddamn hand, now," I screamed. She shock her head and motioned to Adam. He came around and grabbed my other hand and the two of them dragged me out of the café.
"What the fuck was that!? Why didn't you let me beat the shit out of him?!" I yelled.
"Alex I know you don't like him but he's not worth the effort! What he said was mean and uncalled for, but you punching him solved nothing! If anything it's made the situation worse!" Rose screamed at me. In all the time I had known her I'd only ever heard her raise her voice once when were we're kids.
"Why the fuck do you care! And anyway I was standing up for you! He called you trash! Why would you stop me!?"I asked yelling back at her.
"I care because he thinks we're together or whatever and because he knows he can't hurt you he targets me! The more you piss him off the worse you make things a for me! Ever since you left he's been saying stuff like that to me and worse! I've learned to deal with it and Sao should you!" Rose yel@mention a userled but now she was crying. I hadn't meant to make her cry. God I was shit. I hadn't meant to drag her into my shit life or make her a target for other people.
"I-I'm sorry. I didn't know," I said finally calming down,"I'm going to go now." I turned away and ran to my car ignoring Adam who had came after me. God I was such a screw up. I couldn't happen but ruin everyone's lives around me. Sometimes I wish I was never born and I know other people do to.
