Phase 4

Today was an unexpected day.

My close friend Heidi likes one of the most immature and idiotic people that I know. Not to mention the biggest player.

Although on a regular basis I do anything and everything  that I can possibly do to avoid Aristos, I promised Heidi that I would ask for her and once I promise something- I keep that promise.

I tried to think about where the biggest player would be spending his freetime. Didn't take too long before I saw him walking on campus with too giggling girls asking him idiotic questions and giving him countless compliments.

"Aristos your hair is so pretty! You must take after your mom!"

"Aristos your so smart! You know so must about battles!"

"Ladies, ladies please. You're to kind. We're all knowledgable in different subjects and as for my good looks, well they're just something I'm born with."

All of this was like watching a cheesy movie- it was making me nauseous. Well it was now or never so I might as well get it over with.

"Aristos!" It came out alot louder than I ment it to.

All three of them turned and Aristos gave me a raised eyebrow.

I walked up to them, "I need to talk to you," I gave a brief look to the girls "alone."

Aristos gave me a questioning look, I mean he has every reason to. I've never really talked to him, except for this one time.

It was a while back, when he was suppose to give a speech to the school, him being the son of one of the king's advisors and what not. I remember I had been planning to ditch the whole ceremony simply cause I despised them and on the way out I saw Aristos crouching in the hallway.

It looked like he was going to be sick. I thought it was impossible, especially for a guy like him, so I didn't believe him when he told me he had stage fright. I remember I laughed a little, then smiled and pulled him to his feet.I gave him a piece of candy and told him that he'd do great and went on my way.

I don't think that he'd remember that it was me.

From the looks of it, it doesn't seem like he does anyway. As the girls stalked off, not without giving me a glare first, he just stood there staring at me blankly with his hands in his pockets.

I realized he was waiting for me to start speaking.

"Oh, um Aristos I don't really know how to start off because I've never had to do this before but..."

"I'm sorry I cant accept your feelings." Wait, what?

"Excuse me? I think you misunderstood." He gave a look of pity and tilted his.

"Ah, but I didn't," He took a couple step forward and placed his hands on my shoulders "your confession of your love for me is flattering but I can't return them."

So, he thought that I was confessing to him? Then he was seriously wrong and I couldn't help myself. I bust out laughing to the point where I had tears in my eyes. Aristos obviously has never had that reaction before and stared at me quizzically.

"Ha ha, like I said, you've misunderstood. I'm not confessing to you." I wiped some of the tears and glanced up a him.

"Your not?" He took a step back and seemed extremely confused. Now I was sure that this has never happened to him before but it seemed like he regained his composure enough trying to hide his embarrassment.

"So what we're you going to say?"

"My friend, she's the one who likes you, and I was wondering if you'd ever consider going out with her?" I held my breath as he seemed to actually think over it.

"Who's your friend?"

"Her name's Heidi and she has long black hair. I think you might've met her in the Library a little while back?"

His eyes slightly widened at the realization. "She's your friend?"

"Yes, a very close one too."

"First let me ask you this, are you that girl from the ceremony who gave me a piece of candy?"

The shock must've shown on my face cause he gave me a small smile. "I thought so, I never knew your name so when I asked around for you, all I got were puzzled looks."

I don't know what was more stunning, the fact that he remembered me or that he asked around for me.

"I'll consider it."

"Consider what?"

He gave a little laugh. "Your friend, I'll consider going out with your friend."

"Oh, well thanks...I guess." I guess I forgot why I was here for a second.

"See you around." And with that he walked off.

That went...better than I thought it would. No point in dwelling in it. I figured I'd go too the park, maybe feed some ducks, get some ice cream and relax and I'd tell the news to Heidi later.

She so owes me one.
