Chapter 10- Homecoming

Ever since he became my boyfriend, oh wait, yeah.. it's us now. He courted me for about a month, and celebrated our first month anniversary. But, after that, I was told that we were going home home.

The home is Japan. When I told him, he became really, really sad and wanted to be with me and/or send us to the airport.

>> You can't. If you do that, you'll get depressed.

>>But, I want to be with you until the end.

He replied back with a sad face. I became more sad too as the day of our flight came closer.

>> Pusa (Cat), will you stay with me?

>> Physically? I can't. But emotionally? Yeah.

Truth is, I want to be with him too. Unfortunately, I don't want to cause chaos here at home. Everyone knew about him. Problem was, they got too much ahead of themselves and looked through my phone. They read every message we've had. They never understood the joke. They thought that he was going to rape me. Typical.

That morning, about 8:30am, we were already headed for the airport and getting ready for the so-called homecoming in Japan. To me, it's like a death trap there.

The fact that whenever we're there, I either become really weak from the activities being done there, or I look like a freaking zombie.

“Lei, we're almost there, you want to eat anything?” Mom asked me as I saw the airport.

“Nah. I'm good. I just want to relax.” I said and snuggled with my blue, checkered jansport bag.

And no, Jude won't be coming with us. He's gonna stay here because he has work. He can't get a rest day or should I say, rest week? Because, his boss wouldn't allow him. As he said.

I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket.

>> I hope that you will be careful there. I won't be looking at any other women other than you.

>> Awe~ Don't worry. If you do that, I'll have a cat skin at home.

He must've felt the aura. >> Don't skin me~

>> Don't worry. I won't. Only if necessary. :)

We exchanged messages while our flight number wasn't been called yet. It's so early and I'm freaking sleepy. -______- I told him to sleep first. But. No. He didn't want to.

>> I don't want to sleep while I know that you are leaving me. I want to stay up until I can bid my last goodbye.

>> Last goodbye? I'm gonna come back after 2 weeks. It's just a vacation. A deadly one I tell you.

>> Can you promise me that you'll be careful?

>> Yeah. I can do that. I hope.

After I sent that last message, mom told me that when we board the plane, I should turn my phone off. Like I didn't know. I've been traveling for who-knows-how-long and the attendants keep on checking if I'm using my phone. One time, I got scolded by a cabin attendant for something that I haven't done. They thought that I was using my phone at the plane. Even though my phone was already turned off that time.
